the coolest part about starfield was the terrormorphs, but after the questline was completed you never got to see them again, like ever. its not like we suddenly resolved it and found a way to get rid of all the hatchlings stowing away across every starship in the galaxy, but it just went away like nothing ever happened. that and the fact that you lost literally everything (especially your ships) with every ng+ basically convinced me to stop wasting my time on this god awful game.

@@jmello79 Fair, but I suppose it depends on what version. Admittedly when I think 'War of the Worlds', my mind goes to the cover art for Jeff Wayne's discs. Would argue the Martian Fighting Machines look either aracnid or cephalopodic depending on the version with rounded bodies, whereas the Helldivers 2 one and Striders both possess slightly elongated ones. Also reckon the Tripod vaguely resembles a Houndeye.

If I could make one change to Helldivers 2, it would be to crank down the fog, bloom, dust... whatever it is you get on some planets. It makes some places that I don't even want to mission on, because as soon as we drop its like... Welcome to Errata! Enjoy the O R A N G E.

I was also thinking of them adding a “slot” to all the mechs for certain backpacks to be attached to them. Like imagine if you have a shield barrier backpack, and when you approach the mech for the prompt to enter it gives you two options: one to just enter the mech and one to place the shield pack onto the mech having it grow and fully surround the mech before the diver enters the mech. The pros are obviously the benefits the backpacks would provide to the mechs but the cons would easily be seen as “do I wanna take a longer time entering my mech? Or do I even want to have the backpack leave my person in case I want to actually leave the mech??”

the game had a boom in its first week and has been dropping ever since, even PUBG has more players overall and more concurrent players and its everything but a dead game. if helldivers 2 is so good then it wouldnt already be dying less then a month after release
