Cannot believe that I, a dedicated AMR enjoyer, was today years old when I learned you could obliterate scout striders with two shots to the faceplate. I've been scrounging for hip joint shots this entire time, like a _fool._

@@bluemew6457 You can blast the leg off the Strider but the pilot won't die. Destroying the faceplate with the AMR also takes down the pilot for some reason. Disabling the Strider itself will keep the pilot alive and in many cases this is actually a bad thing because robots that aren't manning a vehicle or static emplacement (like turrets) can call for bot-drops.

@@Desiderium I mean, kinda? You’re half right. It seems that there are two “levels” of killing a scout strider, which I refer to as destroying and disabling. You disable a scout strider with groin and joint shots, and the pilot survives. You destroy a scout strider by blasting the face plate off, and the pilot dies. When destroying a leg, it seems that whether the strider is destroyed or disabled as a result is a little bit random. More often than not, though, I find that the rider dies along with the strider if the leg, not the joint, is destroyed.
Killed almost every large enemy from their weak spot without them firing a single shot, Chad helldiver.

Every time. I think, "I want the AMR, but I always find one. I'll use the strat slot for something else." No AMR except maybe on the way to extract. I bring the AMR? There's one lying in the open ten feet away from my drop point.
I really enjoy your target priority at 2:03. Little guy first, then you catch the side-profile of the Strider before it can bring its armor to face you, and then finally you take down the other little guy before he can call for backup, then you focus on the front-facing armored Strider with the right tool for the job. It's a simple thing, but as a fellow Stealthdiver it is incredibly important to prioritize targets correctly and you absolutely did it here, even if it wasn't intentional it's definitely something to learn from.

I usually play on 7th difficulty and with 3 to 4 people. I am AMAZED at how it looks so easy for Sarge on these missions, like taking down outposts without triggering any dropships or everything...

Cool tip for anyone who wants to know. Some types of rare samples make a gurgling noise until they are collected. You can hear one while sarge works at 17:15 which he then finds and picks up a few seconds later. You can hear another one at 24:20 just before it becomes visible. And another at 25:00, though that one is never visible that I could see. So keep an ear out and you may find a few more rares. And there are rares on some biomes that don’t seem to make sound. It’s mainly flowery looking ones from my view. Also I haven’t noted any sounds with commons or super rares, but as the former are everywhere and the latter are always by a very particular visible rock they aren’t as hard to find imo. Nice work Sarge! Love your content

Whoa, I never noticed that! It sounds like a crackle than a gurgle to me. I'll have to see if I can hear it while under the pressure of actually playing.
The AMR can take out Grounded Dropships with 7-8 shots on an engine. Good for when there's only one left, cus it's faster than a hellbomb and doesnt use up an eagle.

@@sebastienc8797 I think the bots instantly die only when you shoot down the drop ship before they bot drop. The AMR takes so long that it’s almost impossible to shoot them down before they bot drop.
Man I just got a ps5, immediately got H2, came across your video and noticed just how elaborate and organized your videos are….idk if anyone’s pointed that out but people are and will appreciate that forever until KZread shuts down….and also, I’m taking notes and inspired by the best…cause I suck at this game but I’m adapting cause of your insanely strategized gameplay

I’m committing the cardinal sin of commenting twice on a KZread video for this, but I just wanted to let you know that certain side objectives can be pinged (R1 on controller) so that they appear on your map. Detector towers, jammers, and radar stations can all be put on the map from afar. No more guessing where to put your pin.

True, but you need line of sight. I still don't know why they removed the option to just mark on the minimap. Btw some objectives like SEAF or gunship facilities have really characteristic shapes, so it's easy to spot them just by looking at the minimap.

@@Sarge94 agreed, but every side objective that this works on aside from the SEAF arty is rather tall, and thus pretty easy to get a line of sight on. I am also miffed about no longer being able to pin undiscovered side objectives on the minimap, though. I find this to be the most helpful with the 3 I mentioned, as they are easy to spot from the ground and somewhat difficult to discern on the map, especially the enemy objectives.

@bluemew6457 Spotting jammers, radars and detectors early on can be really beneficial indeed. Especially if you know about the "fabricator next to jammer" trick or the hellbomb trick for detector towers. I just hate the fact that this method lacks consistency, especially on rocky maps. Pre-planning was an important element of my solo runs, now i feel like i'm going half blind.

@@Sarge94 yeah… I miss the glorious sight lines on Martale. Made spotting side objectives a breeze. Anyway, I do find that the ping reveal is most useful in a squad, as you can never guarantee that your buddies spotted the side objective too. If you’re solo you can just remember and estimate where things are.

I typically pair the DCS with the Laser Cannon, because I find that the AMR makes it feel rather redundant, but it’s still a pretty good pairing. Personally, I feel that the railgun is conceptually a pretty good compliment to the DCS, but until it gets the help it needs, I’ll stick with my laser. Thanks for taking a look at it, regardless!

Laser Cannon sounds interesting. How good is it at taking out gunships? That's usually my main problem when playing with DCS. I tried the railgun once and found it lacking vs gunships so i switched back to AMR.

@@Sarge94 Laser Cannon may be the best weapon to use against gunships. Near a gunship factory I'd want a Laser Cannon even on a hot planet rather than any other weapon.

@@Sarge94 Laser cannon has a huge problem of having to stay exposed while trying to aim for the head so things like heavy devastators and hulk bruisers will absolutely demolish you with stagger while you re exposed trying to aim for their heads

@@Sarge94 The Laser Cannon shreds gunships. If you can keep the beam locked on one engine, you can bring a ship down in just about a second, maybe a second and a half. It requires constant precision and you have to expose yourself to deal damage, but it’s well worth the drawbacks. Once they buff the railgun so it’s not helpless against big enemies, I’ll use it, but until then, my trusty LAS-98 will have to take the role in its stead.

It is interesting that one death and an inopportune respawn could cascade badly. At least that's what I tell myself because I'm bad at managing aggro because I can't resist taking an extra cheapshot.

So many slick moves & plays in this, and I'm only 13 minutes in lol 12:06 was a really impressive one. Load up the airstrike, quick glance back for the escape plan, jump pack, accurately toss the strat from mid-air, land behind limited but perfect cover, complete the getaway. 👌

Hey Sarge! You probably already know this but you can throw grenades into an open fabricator door, rather than the vents. Same logic should apply with the grenade pistol as well.

As a diligence+amr enjoyer this was great to watch. The counter sniper after it's last buff is also surprisingly good , not as good for close-mid range as the regular diligence but a tad better at mid-long range with more reliable damage at the cost of mobility and control though not as bad as it used to be when it handled like a giant bag of soggy noodles.
Diligence and AMR are my go to weapons. They just work really well. I choose the standard Diligence over the CS Diligence due to less recoil. When against Automatons I bring the EMP Stun grenade. Works great on Hulks(plenty of time to walk up and shoot them in the face).
This right here tho... I'm saving this video I gotta get like THIS. I guess I haven't grasped the stealth mechanics yet cuz I can't even do this successfully on a level 5 mission 😂😂😂 running the exact same load out 😂😂😂

Did you know with the jump pack, you can fly further by looking up before launching? It’s a pretty neat trick for some extra flight distance, especially when jumping from high ground

Glad they "fixed" the aiming. While it's not 100% fixed, it's a lot better than it use to be. Hopefully they can get it on the next update.

Yup, they've buffed the damage to the point where it only takes a single headshot to take out a devastator. It's a decent weapon now

tbh,those double walker shots remind me. way back. Black cat,the manga/anime, where the protagonist shows off their skill, shooting six revolver shots through the same hole the first shot made. Fucking sick and very nice skill, soldier o7.

This is the kind of gameplay that makes me believe a sniper loadout can work in helldivers which is my favorite play style most of the time. This is pretty much the same loadout I use, though I will switch out the AMR for the Laser cannon sometimes, they are both good.
Took me a second, to realize this ain't me. I run exact this setup with exact cosmetics :D

I just started playing solo . I love having gun fights with a squad but they never know when to engage and not to engage . If I do play with a squad I usually do my own objectives or just hang back and snipe while they raid a installation
I've never been able to clear a SEAF Artillery site like that on a bug map without multiple patrols coming along. Going to have to start running more bot missions and comparing the encounters more thoroughly.

Does the AMR 2 shot on walkers still work after the walker explosion resist buff? Also, is this with the unreasonably buffed, so called "fixed/correct" spawn rates, or before that stupid "balance" patch that the scrub balance managers did to target solo Helldive players?

Yes it does. This footage was posted the same day it was shot, meaning it was after the big update targeting solo players. Regarding patrols: they're still broken. In some games(like this one) you'll see just a few, in some(my latest video) they'll never leave you alone. Seems like they're trying to cover up poor AI design by flooding us with endless patrols which, at least in my oppinion, is not the best solution.

Probably the best thing about the buffed DCS is the fact that it can take out devastators with a single headshot. It makes a huuuge difference.

A bit, yes, but i like it for trash clearing and in my oppinion it's better for close range cuz you can see the crosshair in 3rd person
Just started a 2 month old video ranking every main weapon that opens by saying, "the Diligence Counter Sniper is the only unusable main weapon in the game," and I'm glad that I already have contravening evidence on hand for that statement.

I don't understand how you generate so little aggro. If I even go near a SEAF artillery I get bots all over me. Gunship base would be spawning them endlessly as soon as I shoot one down? Whats the secret? Just moving constantly?
