Yes, back in the 60’s/70’s we had tv trays when I was a kid. The ones we had, had metal trays. I do have a wooden set with its stand from the 80’s which we still use today.🙂

I remember cruising in my dad's Firebird, my sister in her baby carrier in the front seat, and me, standing up, wedged in between the two front seats so I could see out of the windshield. No seatbelts and we were t-boned by a van. I'm still here lol We were invincible back then.

You made me laugh...my dad used to use that line on me about the majority of accidents happening within a certain # of miles from home. I don't remember why, because he was anti-seatbelt. Anyway, I can't remember when I figured it out, but yeah, that's because we are most often driving within a certain # of miles from our home. No matter where we go, we still have to travel that distance first and last to leave and get home. Hence, more accidents happen closer to home because we are more often driving closer to home. Having typed all that...VICTORIA, put your dang seatbelt on! :)

Keep the dress AND please wear your seatbelt always and forever. Don't give anyone the opportunity to miss you forever.

Remind me of "30 Helens agree" from Kids in the Hall. We did not have TV trays when I was young but I have a bunch of those blonde wood ones with the legs attached now. Very handy. That T does look very Far Side Gary Larson. When we drove 8 hours to NY my brother and I split the back seat. One would get the seat and one would get the floor (we did not get along)..and in those days there was a big hump in the middle of a sedan back seat floor. Ah not wearing your seat belt will really hurt your lawsuit when you are in an accident. Also the reason the majority of accidents happen within 3 miles from your home is that every single time you go anywhere at all, you will be within 3 miles. So you are driving that 100% of the time but less often farther away (not sure I explained it well.) Tartan plaid? Blackwatch? Nice haul. Enjoyed seeing it.

I was thinking like Vicky on seat belts. Until a friend who was 27yrs with the fire dept in San Diego told me he had never taken a dead person out of a seat belt. Knowing that, I have worn my seat belt every time I get in a vehicle.

I'm going to ask a cleaning question & I would welcome anyone's thoughts - I know K&V are busy ladies! How would you spot clean a cotton/wool blend tweed jacket - a Chanel look (but it's not Chanel) It's in fabulous condition except it has that kind of ground in dirt around the ends of the cuffs & a bit on the hem from wear. I did a search & didn't really find any answers. Besides - I actually trust this channel! I'd sure appreciate any help - thank you! Vivi

So, I spot clean wool with woolite, diluted in water, with a textured facecloth/ rag or a soft bristle toothbrush. I work the detergent in to the spot then lightly cold water rinse it out. Water doesnt shrink wool, heat does. Cold water, lay flat, air dry. I also cold water hand wash wool sweaters if they need it and it is worth it. -V.
