Wow! This is why I love YT, it enables us to see 'behind the scenes' whilst highly skilled ppl do their jobs/hobbies. From an amateur flight simmer, that was incredible to watch, thank you for uploading. The level of skill and focus to be able to not just fly a helicopter, but also operate in such a busy environment blows my mind! 🤯👏👍

Wow, I've never met a heli pilot that isn't extremely good at what they do. When I did my theory of flight exam, the instructor said fixed wing is easy, he had 250 slides of powerpoint with 1 slide attributed to helicopters, it was titled 5 words, 'Magic'.

So far, we've seen you fly the DA42, a TBM940, a Phenom 300, and now a EC155. 😃 And I'm now starting to ask myself : (Is there anything that man CAN'T fly??)Oo. 🤔😳😉👍

Honestly I feel more comfortable in a helicopter (still where most my experience is!). If there is a problem, you can slow it down and sort it out..... or just land! 😎🚁

​@@hangandrew so true.. both appear to have been at night, in low visibility, and mountainous terrain. A challenge for even the most experienced pilots. Any 2 of those and I'd rather sit it out, than get on a GA flight...

This was awesome! I am yet to do my first lesson in a Cabri G2 but I love this stuff! Bravo 👏🏼

I love how the blade RPM and frame rate match up to give us the image of the blade in flight like it's stopped....great view of the amazing mechanical wonder of high performance helicopters.

Loved the video. I’ve had the opportunity to be in the back seats, flying in and out of the Silverstone GP, and it was a truly amazing experience. I was in awe of the choreography of the pilots coming into, and leaving the helipads. To see it from the front seats 👌

Just curious as a fixed wing pilot, when you did that cool departure why did most of you guys go straight up and then transition on course rather than kind of zoom climb (if you see what I mean) in the direction of your departure?? Is it just a visibility/awareness thing??

World's busiest commercial heliport: Aberdeen Airport handles more than 37,000 rotary wing movements carrying around 468,000 passengers annually. I flew offshore here for 21 years. Now I fly out of Denmark....still to the North Sea! Happy Flying!!

Indeed, I spent a good part of my career based at Aberdeen, lots of happy memories! Silverstone is busiest for the F1 weekend only, as a year round airport/heliport Aberdeen surly wins! Just couldn't find a title to fit all of that in! Safe travels, I always have a soft spot for the North Sea! 😎🚁

Always dreamt of flying a heli. Watching that was so cool. Well done.

Everytime I watch a helicopter video I am reminded of the Summer of 76 which I spent flying all over the UK loading people for 90 second pleasure flights at big shows. Much of the time I was piloted by the late, great Dick Meston #goodolddays

@@richardtyrer I can still remember the 206 tail numbers: G-BBFE, our workhorse, no frills and lightest 206. G-AVTE, our 206 with popouts, so hard to stop passengers standing on them and G-AYMX, our heaviest VIP 206. Church Fenton Airshow was the event when all three were used simultaneously 😎

The ending was the best. That was wicked badass.

Now that's the way to go to the track! Fun video, well done.

being a paramotor pilot and absolutely terrified by your air shredder i am shocked how little the turbulence influencing each other of you guys there hovering. makes me realize how vulnerable we are with our little backpack fan and a bed sheet above the head. even normal turbulence can cause a crash for us while you sitting there with 5 others barely moving. very impressive. i was expecting alot more shaking next to hovering helis

Never heard the term air shredder before! I’ll remember that! You do get a bit of turbulence when we are all hovering next to each other, but the camera stabilisation removes it! I can’t turn it off otherwise the rest of the video would be rubbish! 😎🚁

@@richardtyrercheers for answer! haha yes i call them like that because air is bad even minutes after heli is gone. i saw a guy here flew into the down wash from a small heli which was already gone 2 minutes and he took a massive collapse from that. if i see one nearby me i land asap and hold onto my wing. yes dont turn off stabilization. we are too fragile! thanks for clearing that up. i thought you cant hover so close to each other

Started my career flying VVIP in EU/FRG some 35 years ago .. sure has gotten more efficient and enjoyable with GPS, TCAS & moving map. Love how they simplified the callsigns with colors and was good to hear QSY used for brevity (I kept using it around the world but no ATC in USA knows Q code or what that means anymore) ... great video.

Very cool insight into operations - thanks for sharing.

Great video.. Closest I can come to this was doing RRR at Turweston a few years back for the F1 weekend.

Phenomenal work by yourself and the controller, and great content, love it. Quick question if that okay, how are the callsigns allocated?

Watching a F1 race is great fun. Being there for the race is just incredible. But flying to and from the race in a helicopter? It doesn't get any cooler than that! 🚁

It's such a shame we are no longer allowed to park at the circuit, otherwise I could have had the trifecta! But for the passengers for sure it's the best way to travel there! 😎🚁

Great & clear video with audio, thank you for uploading. In Cape Town (V&A Waterfront) we have three companies operating from 4 heli-pads each, in season there are between 8 to 11 machines at any given time in operation, just without any form of traffic control. We simply communicate on the local frequency to make sure who is on finals to land or about to take off. Surely it must be the busiest heliport in the world too, just in the Southern Hemisphere side of the globe. 😉🚁
