Helford River, Falmouth, Caves by Sea Kayak in Cornwall, UK, Scenery, History, Navy

Спорт

This was an incredibly calm day for a scenic paddle from Helford River to Falmouth town and back with a little detour to take in some caves along the return leg.
Helford is a great sheltered place for launch and a paddle up the Helford river when wind or conditions make the area difficult for learners. The scenery will add enormous appeal to any normal human being learner or not.
The car park in Helford is up the hill and wee walk from the launch at the ford, so with that in mind, take your wheels / trolley if you can. The road and the ford crossing is barely wider than a car, so you won't make friends trying to take the car to the water.
This is a beautiful part of the UK with plenty to see along the way

My local waters. There is a beach at the back of that long cave. Big enough to land the kayaks and keep walking.

It was a lovely place to paddle. Not often so calm I imagine. Hopefully I'll meet you out there this summer

Stunning ride. Do you host kayaking groups regularly?

Hi Janis. I don't do commercial groups as I am not formally an instructor but I have met and paddled with several people I have met via the channel. Feel free to make contact via Instagram. The majority of my videos are with groups of friends

Love the comment(s) but......."where is the Captain" 🙂 Never change that blue Valkyrie with yellow deck lines as it so recognisable. Really loved this one with your "hole in te water" and "special Forces pixelation" : Owesome footage kzread.info/dash/bejne/aGygzLCciKffXZs.htmlsi=BKWNN6Cu-ewnt552 Ever watched @Northseakayak as in kzread.info/dash/bejne/n6Of3Kt7p73JmNo.htmlsi=WRmxdx93JnFdwbBV ??

Haha yes! The captain spent last summer sailing so we missed him in the videos. He's back from more sailing by this summer so more captain coming up from May. Yeah, the downwinder.. that was a great day, all the stars aligned and going through all the yachts up close was unforgettable. I have more downwind footage with my son and Chris paddling. There's a short sample on Instagram but I haven't had time to make a feature yet. And on @Northseakayak, yes, I think I've seen all of Dimitri's videos. He was definitely an influence in me choosing the Valkyrie. And I'm glad I did. I love the boat!
