Helena is one of the most underrated actresses..it's unfair. She is one of the best ever. She never won an Oscar, Golden Globe or Emmy. What a joke.

+Pe Callahan Have you seen the movie Wings of the Dove? It was released in 1997, and she was brilliant in it. That was her first oscar nominated film. If you do have time, i suggest you watch it. She really could/should have won an oscar for that film.

Leah Bowman : Lupita Nyong'o won Best Supporting actress even though she had a small screen time in 12 Years A Slave. And Judi Dench also Won BEst Supporting Actress even though she had only 9 Mins Screen Time in SHakesPeare in Love. I really hope Helena Bonham Carter will get nominated even though she has a small screen time.. SHe's Amazing!

I really really love the BAFTAs because they let the actors and actresses to speak! In Oscars they turn the music on and the actors have to rush! I think it's kind of rude..

I loved her in A Room With a View and she was great in Dark Shadows, Howard's End, Great Expectations and the list goes on. She should have won at least one or two by now.
British and American award shows are so so different from each other. After watching American award shows I want to go out and party while dancing to crazy music, and after watching British award shows I want to sit in a chair and listen to classical music while reading.

She was nominated for 2 • Best Actress in a Leading Role for The Wings of the Dove in 1998 (lost against Helen Hunt for As Good as It Gets) • Best Supporting Actress for The King’s Speech in 2011 (lost against Melissa Leo for The Fighter)

That last statement almost brought me to tears, the way she mentions the wives in the world and saying how her mother would have gotten an award from her father. That is a mixture of humor, gratitude and emotion all in a matter of four minutes
She's a Queen and I cry every time when I hear this speech. Such a wonderful human being.

I so envy her composure, her ability to make people laugh with dry humour, as well as her pleasant tone of voice. She's amazing all around.
I don't know what exactly I was expecting Helena's speech, but I definitely wasn't expecting to be brought to tears. That was lovely! I especially loved the bit about her children being the 8th and 9th Wonders of the World :)
She should win an award for the award accepting speech . It was a show within itself . What a legend Madam Helena Bonham carter !!

Great acceptance speech, funny and very warm hearted
Such a versatile actress and highly underrated though she has been nominated and won plenty of awards. She can play evil, weird or understated roles with such ease. Quite remarkable really. Very few in the business can do so. She is a gem.
