Helen Alice Johnson Artist in The Studio
Ойын-сауық
I’ve finished my large abstract painting inspired by the Church of the Paraclete, Kirkhaugh, near Alston in Cumbria. It's a mixed media piece, including fluorescent acrylic paint, oil paint, hand made pigments, turmeric pigment and gold leaf! I’ve also entered it for the Summer Exhibition at The Royal Academy of Arts, London - so fingers crossed!!

Thank you!!
Beautiful painting! I loved the close-ups at 5:15, but they go WAY too fast! (Camera person, SLOW DOWN and let us actually SEE the work!). It would also be nice to see the big painting head on (and not just the boots under the bench) and ALL of it. It's a super painting and I love the mixture of natural pigments with the bright un-natural/the hot pink colours. What a wonderful mixture. Thank you for sharing your work with us and good luck!

Thanks for the comments Andrea, it’s such a.balance between not making the video too long, getting enough content in and showing the art work. We’ll aim to show the artwork for longer next week. Thanks again for your support 🙏

@@helenalicejohnsonartist I cannot imagine the complexity of putting a video together, so WELL DONE YOU!!! But, yes, please, do let us see properly for longer, the images you paint are so rich and complex, it takes a moment to breathe it all in. ❤
