Dr Sahib you are well respected . In continuation of what you said, I must add....work place harassment for women in every field has increased so much. Being health professionals, have you or any other senior has ever tried to control moral or financial corruption begining from our schools to colleges to professional educational institutes, health care facilities and health administration. What we witnessed over the years is a criminal silence. No Female in Pakistan can claim that she never faced work place harassment. Talking about social injustice is an easy thing, promoting a culture of safety is way more demanding.😢

I live in Los Angeles My daughter also asked me about this show actually she was asking me permission if it’s ok to watch it ! I haven’t watched it either this series yet so I told her that if you wanna watch it you could but do it with open mind and don’t judge them because it was different era and history already been recorded. My daughter is pretty religious so I told her that this was the locally defined culture it has nothing to do with Islam matter of fact Islam condemn and prohibited prostitution.

People and critics of the Heeramandi series, have to give some credit to the makers of Heeramandi and the beautiful studio sets of a time and people in the past... it has sparked a conversation to know what the real lives and places actually were. People are curious and it has driven a desire to know and offers respect to the place and the people who once lived there and made contribution to independence by sheltering freedom fighters, and didn't worry about losing their honour in society. 😮 They lived and died in emotional pain without any honour, no rights in society nor respect in their lifetime but the braveheart women gave up their lives in an instant for the country by sheltering freedom fighters. Shahid for freedom they never had! ❤

Very impressive. Dr Jared Iqbal addresses a taboo subject in a sensitive manner. Our society is in denial and doesn’t tackle the root cause which he rightly said was poverty & illiteracy. We all have to wake up and show compassion.

Absolutely right , our society has badly damaged by social media they forgot our values , culture and especially our deen which strictly prohibited such kind of things like show up of your wealth, dancing, exposure of personal life .
