Things are strange right now. The US dollar is becoming less valuable because of inflation, and other powerful nations waking up to trade in their own currencies. Good thing is, a lot of people still turn to the Dollar because of the safety is somehow assures. Well, I suggest you make a diversification plan because it's been harder to build a good portfolio that stays afloat since COVID. Personally, I garner knowledge from a brokerage Adviser whom I work with, and I've actually made over $350K with their help since February. The FED knows. They aren't committed to attacking inflation. They are going to continue to inflate, stocks and commodities will continue to go up with everything else. You can't just sit on cash waiting for a crash, get your money working for you, start buying in slowly and then gradually increase the pace of buying as the prices continue to drop.

Our economy is based on deficit spending, the "Multiplier Effect" from all that deficit spending gives a false representation of growth, GDP needs a new formula that subtracts Debt that comes to a real GDP number.

Fed has to cut the rate we see what Fed has done it doesn’t help the inflation problem. Pump more oil and flood them into the market.

Of course higher rates help with inflation. The reason the problem isn’t totally solved already is because as the fed is tightening the money supply, our idiotic government is spending at unprecedented levels. Mostly on the welfare state, which is 75% of all spending. That offsets what the fed is doing. As one group reduces the money supply the other is expanding it. It would be FAR worse without the rate hikes But in a fractional reserve system like we have, it’s inarguable rate hikes help fight inflation. By definition it slows the creation of money.
