First time posting, but been watching you, Jeff, for a while. Not as long as many others, but enough to see you are a good person. I'm glad you and Nicole have had your life turn around for the better, you both deserve it. I want to say thank you for the videos you upload, you never have to do that, but you love doing and we love watching it. We appreciate you. I've seen a few KZreadrs who have always claimed money and getting millions of subscribers aren't important, but they end up changing their content to something that was never them. Unfortunately, it's not always their fault and is a KZread issue, I've heard. I hope (and pretty sure you will) always be yourself on the channel. We expect nothing more and anything less. I think I came from your LSPDFR and all your simulator videos. Been really enjoying it. Best part about ATS? Is just listening to you, getting to know you. Every day I watch your ATS videos I learn something knew. It's like being there with you and getting to know you on a personal level. There's nothing like fake stuff to make a video more entertaining, it's just simple. It's you. And I actually want to say thank you to not just you, Jeff, but the community. This has been one of the best I have seen. Everyone is usually so polite, gets along well. Keep it up, everyone! We're all here for the same reasons. We may come from different backgrounds, but we can't deny we don't enjoy being apart of the community or we wouldn't be here. Everyone of you is special to this channel. Canada who does Flight Simulator stuff for a living, and also occasionally ATS, and all, and recently on his December Thursday stream(Last week I guess), Jeff Favignano was there, and apparently, Jeff is a moderator or something of that guy... There's a ton of people, myself included who really care about you and appreciate your content more than you know. Thank you for everything you do to make our lives brighter Jeff!

Here's the technical explanation (not the "I've been driving big rigs for the last 2 centuries and I'm always right"): the jake brake is applied to the tractor, NOT the trailer...that means that while the tractor is being slowed down, the trailer is still pushing it forward. So in slippery conditions, that increases the risk of jack knifing. It doesn't automatically mean that the second you hit the jake brake, your rig will go crazy. But it does significantly increases the risk so it's recommended not to use it.

I was not around when you started here, I think I didn't start watching you until maybe mid 2018. But after hearing that little synopsis on you're life, you are a really solid dude, Jeff. This channel really is one of few on KZread that is genuine. You don't click-bait, you don't shove ads down our throats. You don't even tell us all to subscribe in every video. I rarely have adblock disabled, but when I click on one of you're videos, that adblock ain't coming back on until the video is over. I know you aren't in it for the money, but I really hope you're channel continues to grow and more people start watching because many KZreadrs out there need to tear a page out of you're book.

As a former truck driver myself that has made numerous trips over the Sierra Nevada’s I always used my Jake brake. Always helped me from locking up the brakes on icy roads.

Same. Never had an issue with the Jake even when empty or bobtailing. Been through a lot of snow storms. Even been over vail pass into Denver. Going down vail you don't have a choice but to use the jake, even empty.

I have watched you here and there for years, but I gotta say one thing I do appreciate about your videos is how you take the time to explain all the features you are using. I really like how transparent you are about the equipment, mods, and features you use. I definitely want to check out some of the stuff you showed off in the video (especially TrackIR which I really want to look into because that sounds pretty awesome!). Thanks for your dedication to your uploads!

Even without mods, traffic does the same thing. A vehicle even taps something, and the vehicle STOPS DEAD. Not slows down. The animation simply STOPS. YOU are the only one affected by the game's physics. AI are not. I guess we have been spoiled by decades of GTA traffic being affected by the game's physics the same as us.

I just recently started up on ATS and have been watching your videos ever since. Love your content man. Keep up the good work!

I’m not even really into trucking simulators but I loved listening to the commentary. You seem really humble and genuine, keep up the great content

Grab your popcorn you already know this is going to be a good one!

One last thing, you can manually downshift in an automatic (automated lol) transmission. The shifter on the right hand side of the steering wheel can be toggled forward or backwards to up shift or downshift. There's also a button on the end of it that you can do it totally manually. I don't know if ATS has it model properly or has it so you can keybind it but I drive that model of cascadia. That's how I know about it.

my uncle was a truck driver up here in Canada and he called them automatics. Call it what you want Jeff you will still be as entertaining as always. Your also the first KZreadr to really open up about there background in such way. I'm glad you did because I learned more about you. Wish you all the best and your awesome!

I bought an 03 Camry beater and it made me happy that I have basic transport that is not a mountain bike, got the Underground 2 level of sounds in it because I love drum and bass lol and I still use my bike a lot more than the car because I love the exercise and it's the basic things in life that make me happy. If it has 4 wheels, drives and stops anything after that is butter is how I look at cars these days. Jeff, you and your partner have a great time in your new house and make some happy memories there, we all love you.

I was playing ATS today, and it seems that the AI is breaking a lot for no reason lately, especially at road intersctions.

You're right about Warren being located in Iowa. The company headquarters is out of Waterloo, with other building locations in Ankeny and Dubuque within the state. I'm originally from Oskaloosa, Iowa while also moving to around to both Dakota's, Montana and now out in North Carolina over the years, so I enjoy seeing stuff in video games from the Midwest and Northern Plains regions of the U.S. Another great video Jeff!

Jeff, ever since I have started to watch you I started out with X-Plane. I would come home from school and be exited to watch your videos. That’s how I got exited for a end of a Monday, then I went to lspdfr, then 5pd. Keep doing what you are doing and don’t let anyone change you.
