HEAVY RECOVERY - 01-04-2014 - OUDERKERK AAN DEN AMSTEL - The Loosdrecht driver of a truck from the Bergse transport company Cito was released on the A9 on Tuesday morning. Due to the unknown cause, the man with his truck combination from the embankment drove at Ouderkerk aan de Amstel, and stopped a few meters lower against trees. "The man has been lucky. the right side of the cabin is in ruins, but he only has a scratch on his forehead '', says Jan Siewertsen of Cito Transport, a company with more than thirty trucks from Nederhorst den Berg. ,, I brought him home from the hospital after examination. He is terribly startled. Maybe he had a blackout. "" The man may still have to go to a neurologist.
The tractor seems to be completely loss. The trailer is still good according to Siewertsen. A large part of the morning was used for cleaning up. The A9 is a busy ring road from Amsterdam and the truck bore quite a bit. Files were the result.

Ondanks dat het hun werk is, respect voor deze specialisten!
Having read most of the comments from armchair experts as a ex recovery worker I think they did a perfect job. Having a Rotator like Kollmer would have been great, but apart from that and some rather lask safety by some of the crews re winch rope lash they did a good job.
Who pay for all this operation? Insurance or truck company that get accident?

Great coverage. Would have been nice to see a bit more of the actual towing away of the unit and trailer and of the recovery vehicles. How did it happen? Did the driver fall asleep or was it involved with another vehicle. New subscriber Mick🇬🇧

The amount of equipment and manpower is off the scale , and so is the needless loss of Green .

No lack of heavy duty equipment.. here would be one rotator truck and maybe two men..

he is ok, only a few scratches. they think he had a black out. went to the hospital to get checked
