Heavy Lift: The World's Largest Moving Equipment | Complete Series | FD Engineering
The story of the engineers and mechanics behind some of the largest lifting and moving equipment in the world.
00:00:00 Jumboization
An in-depth look at the complex heavy lift process of taking an old ship, cutting it in half and stretching it - an operation called Jumboisation, increasingly common as the demand in the lucrative cruise industry for bigger ships that can haul more and more passengers.
00:43:35 The Antonov Dream
The story of the Antonov An-225, a relic cold war era aircraft made in the Ukraine that still flies challenging missions today. It is the biggest airplane in the world and holds the most air records for cargo lift.
01:27:41 Moving the Mose
An in-depth look at the science behind saving Venice from high water floods and the construction and engineering of one of the world’s largest mobile surge barriers, which aims to keep high water at bay in the Venice lagoon. As the last stages of this complex 40-year mega public works project are being completed, suspense builds as to whether or not this innovative but controversial maritime engineering gamble will actually work.

They have talks of "possibly" rebuilding the aircraft despite the steep price tag, but the likelihood of it happening is low.

43:44 be 110% sure the cargo cannot possibly shift around and alter the front/rear CG... LOL It would be really really bad if cargo moves during takeoff, landing or while in-flight!
