If the attackers have more ships the attackers might have won bc all they needed to do is create a hole in the defense and go for the archers and catapult and boom suddenly the tabled have turn

This defense is more hard than wwii D day... Insane battle.

In the Battle of the Blackwater, Tyrion built a chain and submerged it at the entrance to the harbour and after the Wildfire exploded the chains were raised to keep the enemy from retreating. They crashed into the chain and burned. The only exception were those ships that made their way up the river and was broken like toys by 3 massive trebuchet from inside the city. Stannis' men used the driftwood an broken ships to formed a rudimentary pontoon bridge across the river and managed to plans a considerable force just outside the city walls. That's when Tyrion's cavalry chased off some and the rest were smashed I'm the rear by Tywin's last minute arrival with the Tyrell host. Why did I recite all this to you? Nostalgia I guess.
