Imagine u are one of the defenders
I know this is just a game, but I’ve always wondered how armies moved siege towers in real life. I doubt they’d push them around for miles. It’d be bad for stealth and eventually they’d probably hit rough terrain. Did they build them just before battle ? And if so, how were they able to build them up so tall? Scaffolding? Did they pre make the materials, transport by wagon and just assemble them when needed?

sieges lasted for months most of the time, they had more than enough time to build the siege engines

Siege Engines were built once the city had been surrounded and camps were set up. Sieges were not a quick process and could last months at a time.
