Q:What camera do you use?
A: I use the Go Pro Hero 7 Black Edition primarily. Often times you will see auxillary cameras in use. Those cameras include The Go Pro Hero 6, Hero, and DJI Mavic Pro Platinum
Q: How big Is your rotator?
A: It is a 50 ton Miller Industries Vulcan 950
Q: Does the carriage slide back like Ron Pratt's?
A: No, the carriage doesn't slide back due to strict weight laws in California. The sliding carriage will make the truck to heavy in CA
Q: Why do you only have 3 winches on the rotator?
A: Comes down to weight again as stated above
Q: How many trucks Does Plaza Towing have?
A: Currently more than 30
Q: Why must the driveshaft be removed to tow a vehicle?
A: When vehicles are not running the transmission is not receiving circulating lubricant. If the driveshaft is left installed, the transmission, which is not receiving lubricant, is still spinning. This allows it to get very hot which eventually will cause major damage to the transmission. Therefore, removing the driveshaft completely eliminates the transmission from spinning. Simply leaving it in neutral is not sufficient since the transmission still spins in neutral.

Slow and steady wins the race again.. It never ceases to amaze me just how much brute force drivetrains have to pull/push. The last cam shot showing from the rear how long that train was...WOW!!! Definitely one for the books Trent...beautifully done...and the trucks driver was super helpful too. Stay safe out there guys:-)

One thing for sure is that road is so desolate it's not some place you want to break on. What was also nice was the driver interaction with you. 240K pounds is not like towing a Toyota. LOL.

A1 tow. When I was in jr high , the weight limit in ny was 73280. Local sand and gravel trucks hauled about 18 inches over the sideboards on 40 ft steel dump trailers. A neighbor owned a tire company, the sand and gravel companies were his best customers, sold them lots of tires, brakes, drums and springs. A loaded sand trailer grossed out at 325000 with wet sand. I asked him how they got away with running 325000, when the max was 73280. He pulled out a magazine published by the county PBA magazine ( POLICE MENS BENEVOLENT ASSOCIATION ) . All the local sand and gravel companies and anyone else who ran way overweight took out huge half or full page ads, to the tune if $5k per month minimum. As long as they took out the ads they didnt get scaled. One of his customers skipped the ad one month and almost went broke with overweight tickets. Never made that mistake again. The majority of the sand and gravel companies, trash and heavy haulers were mafia run . . JUST SAYIN
