Swanö is GOD, but THIS is such an awful cover... this "voice" is so terrible... taking away the feeling and meaning of the original song. This song was covered several times and mostly better than this one. Again, it is a shame!

Welches Genre das auch immer sein sollte, die Gitarren klingen furchtbar matschig und die Drums fahren, genau wie die Vocals, nur eine Schiene. Das Ganze dann noch unteriridisch abgemischt. Ne, danke. Sympathisch sind die Jungs dafür und live immerhin visuell oben mit dabei.

Damn.... Back in like 2012 i was a literal bag of depression. I shit you not, this song actually pulled me out. Heard it in the radio and then fell in love with this song, then band and I listened them non-stop. Now i haven't listened them well over five years and today I basically rediscovered my child-teenage hood.

This has been my alarm ringtone for over 1 year now and I'm Adamant of its effectiveness to peacefully awaken a person! :)

Over a decade I saw HSB live supporting some headlining band who I've forgotten. Still the best live performance I have ever seen.

I remember i was only in middle school and i bought the CD of this album... great times, i was with my uncle at the time. Man times have changed, for better of course. I will never forget this album!!!!

Well these guys certainly grew huh... I remember finding them a long time ago, this song to be exact. I was in my depressed teenage years and added it to my ipod to listen to in school. Glad to see how much they, and I, have grown. :)

I remember where I was when I first heard this song, in my living room, eating breakfest. The breakfest was good, and so was the song.

They gave it a more mainstream appeal, nothing wrong with that covers have this effect sometimes. What you don't take into account is how many kids will hear of the original now because of this song and get to experience Edge of Sanity. It's a win win for all man.

Yeah great point a great cover like planet caravan covered by Pantera or whiskey in a jar by the big M aren't necessarily covers in my opinion there interpretations music gets passed down by generations changing along the way saying releasing a great cover is lasy then your a master gate keeper don't even want music to transcend time can't even let the kids hear it 💀💀💀 not tryna be annoying or a smart ass

Oh my god. I can't believe I found it after all these months. I had the main riff here stuck in my head from time to time but then forgot this song existed. I would keep thinking of this riff and swear I heard it somewhere, but couldn't think of a band I thought would make this. Even though I was aware of and sometimes listened to Heaven Shall Burn. I thought maybe it was me misremembering an In Flames riff, but it was actually this.

Holy crap, I am a fan of the original from when it was released way back in the day, and this cover is a very good one indeed 🤘!

Although i am a big fan of deathcore, screams etc and i think this is a really great cover, i don't know why i prefer the original of edge of sanity o.o it has something special that i don't know how to describe, magic!

Indeed! Im from the same town as Edge of sanity! A real small town with some real good punk and metal bands! This cover is almost as good as the original! Its the Mood that choise wich is the best one!

I saw them earlier this year, they were really awesome.

I think someone should make a crossover that combines the original and this version. Both are fantastic in their own right. This is also a very clever and well-executed video.

The screaming kills the atmosphere of the song and they didn't play the solo at the end, but not a bad cover anyways. And i can't believe there's people saying that "Edge of Sanity sucks". Be more respectful with one of the fathers of prog death metal, kids.

The standout bit of the song for me was always the spoken "Black tears" lines. Doing anything other than speaking that line ruins the cover for me.

They ruined the gothic/doom atmosphere of the original one, but turned it into a sick tone. It's not bad at all, it's just that the original one is 10/10 for me and this one is 7/10. And it's not because of the vocals, I normally prefer screams, growls, demonic -whatever fucking- sounds over clean vocals. Vocals are pretty good but Dan Swano's are just calming and magical.

The plethora of nonsense comments on here snd then i see this. My exact reaction too. Both are good. I also prefer swanos vocals. The original just has an haunting yet calming atmosphere to it which this lacks and im also the same with you on the vocals. Kudos on the comment
