Because Jesus said, "those who believe in Him have passed from death to life" I believe I'm going to heaven one day! Not because I deserve it but because it is God's FREE GIFT to me. How do I answer this so you don't get it the wrong way....hmmm... We will all be judged on our knowledge of God. But let me say the following: # 1: There is indeed a GOD who created all that is in heaven and on earth; #2: He loves you beyond all telling, way beyond your comprehension. #3: If you but look for the truth and make that your life's mission you'll begin to see things in your life you never dreamed of. #4: God does not want anyone...not even 1 person...to go to hell. Hell is reserved for those that want nothing to do with God. And those who reject God even in this life are already living their hell. But to reject God is a very deliberate decision. So do not be afraid. Stay open in your life and pray. Start small. Ask God to fill your heart with Peace and Love. In time, all things will be well and you will be free indeed.

Do you guys know what? I believe Colton's testimony and this is why... When I was 3 years old before I ever know who God or Jesus was I taking a nap in my crib. As I went to sleep I went into this dark place. No walls, no furniture, nothing but pure darkness. A moment later a light appeared in the distance and was walking closer to me and I somehow knew that there was a person in this light. The light was covering him. He walked up to me, picks me up off the ground and held me in his arms with my head laying over his shoulders looking over. I felt this warm and love throughout my whole body. I can't explain the magnitude of that love or what I was feeling. It was so incredible. He told me I love you and after that he puts me back on the ground on my feet and he turned and started to walk away. I started to follow him but he put his hand up and said stay. As I watched him walking away I cried out "Jesus, come back, Jesus, come back!" I stood there watching Jesus going away. When I saw Jesus disappear I woke up in my crib crying out "Jesus, come back, Jesus, come back!" I felt I was there, I felt that I was there with Jesus. I didn't want to wake up, I tried so hard to go back to sleep but I was too upset and crying to go back to sleep. I kept crying and saying "Jesus come back" over and over. My mother and father heard me crying out Jesus, come back and picked me up and comforted me. To this day still I remember that dream as if I had that dream last night it was so real. And because of this dream I have 100% assurance of who Jesus Christ is. I feel so blessed to have this dream when I was 3. I am 33 now. You know what? Before man ever taught me the bible of who God is God taught me by showing me Jesus in my dream and met me. I never got to see His face or anything but I just knew it was him. I have never had a doubt of God's existence. I believe God can come to anyone any way He wants to. Cause you know why? God is God! Praise God!

He wouldn't be holy, loving and perfect if he was blàsè and uncaring about sin! The Word says that He is "slow to anger!" You cannot compare our human anger which is pretty much self centered and sinful usually, with the righteous anger and indignation of the Lord. Psalm 7:11: "God is angry with the wicked every day." Ask Jesus to baptise you in His Holy Spirit, that way you can actually know God for yourself.

What I like and totally believe what Colton says about Jesus's eyes. There are no words to describe how beautiful they were. In fact, I think the entire spiritual world of Heaven is so beautiful that is cannot be described with human words.

There is an absolute look of truth on that young boy's face. I believe God sends us this type of story to help restore our faith when we need it most.

I don’t understand how people so easily disbelieve this because how would a 4 year old remember all this and if it was a lie how has the story stayed exactly the same for all these years without even a minor detail changing, this is a real story

This really got me teary from beginning to the end. Really inspirational. The description of heaven is the same exact thing I experienced in year 2000, heaven looks very similar to earth but more beautiful, it highlights places that are most important to me (my home and my neighborhood). Too bad I didn't see the face of God I only heard him like a thunder... best part... I didn't have to die to see that place. This was the time when my younger brother passed away. This was the lowest and saddest part of my life, I was questioning everything, and I was angry and hurt. Then my departed brother visited me and made me feel that everything is okay, that he is safe and he is in a good place... he knew that I don't believe in things easily unless I am sure and I have proof. Then he showed me where he was staying... he showed me our house, our front yard, the neighborhood but things are brighter and fog is covering the land and there are stripes of bright lights around. I was at peace after seeing him happy but he continued visiting me every night for almost a year. Every morning my mom would tell me stories about my brother's visits in her dreams and as she tells the stories, I would interrupt her and tell the rest of the stories because we have the same exact dreams every day. We would end up in tears as we hear each other’s stories. We are in tears because of happiness, we know for sure that our mind is not making up those stories so we can easily cope with the loss, we know that my brother did not leave just like that, he stayed with us every night and continued living with us until we slowly are able to come to terms with his passing. I remember being excited going to bed just to see my brother again. It is as if I live in the world of the living day and having another life in the world of the living night. The last time he visited us was the night before his one year death anniversary and he just said goodbye to me, I didn't feel sad anymore because I know he sacrificed so much time just to stay with us for a year more longer until we have accepted the situation. Tomorrow is his 14th death year anniversary... I just realized it now after seeing this movie. I thank him for showing me his love and that he really cared for us even after he passed away, he even took into consideration my attitude so he went the extra mile to take me where he was "Heaven" just for me to feel happy. And heaven is really the good things that we build here on earth and the most precious to our hearts.

My husband was shot a year ago by a 15yr old kid. He was in the hospital for almost 3 months and had to be on a ventilator. He told me that he saw Jesus and that he had met my grandmother who passed away 5yrs ago, whom he never met or saw. He described her perfectly, also said he saw his brothers whom all 3 have passed away for muscular dystrophy. Since it's been a year now I thought I'd take the picture that the little girl painted of Jesus and ask him if he knew who that was and I made sure there wasn't any words or descriptions and he's not a computer person or news person so he didn't know about this young girl. But as soon as I showed him he said it was Jesus. I don't care if anyone believes him or me, everyone is entitled to their own beliefs.

My appendix also bursted and I was in the hospital for about a week with a tube and a bag hanging out of my lower stomach to drain the infection. It was the worst pain I’ve ever experienced when it actually ruptured. I was a grown 20 year old when it happened so for a little boy his age to go through that, I am so happy he’s here and okay now!

This story is amazing. People remember tramatic events as young as 2yo...imagine how being with Jesus would be vividly kept in your memory. Such a special gift he received! God's decision on who will live & who will die are not based on "worthiness" but on time & works to be done. I had the privelage of reading this book at the same time I read the story of Akiane...another awesome testimony of our great Creator (from atheist parents, socially secluded, genius child). Such a blessing.

I've been reading the comments below and i just noticed that some people tend to base this through science.. And some do base it through beliefs.. This is just my opinion though.. I respect all your judgement, beliefs, theories whatsoever. In my opinion, what matters most is what you believe in and what you stand for. I'm a nurse, wherein we focus more on the science field.. Everything was explained through science in Nursing.. But i still believe in God, i once doubted him.. And believe me.. It felt like hell.. But this kid.. His story made me believe and never doubt God again.. It felt light.. I felt renewed.. I accepted the fact that i was a sinner.. And i was sorry for it.. Im not saying that i wont commit a sin again.. What im saying is, i choose to believe in God and Keep my Faith, no matter what any other people say.. 😊 God Bless..

My father had a near death experience. After car accident he was paralyzed unable to walk. As he was dying, we took him to church and prayed. He recalled the ceiling opening up and floating into space to heaven. Describes seeing flowers every where, most beautiful scenery hard to describe. 8 hours later he woke up and walked. My mother also during cancer surgery recalls being in heave and angels holding her hands comforting her. She recalls God doing the surgery. Im a skeptic by heart but believe that my parents really experienced this. There is something beyond this earth and someone beyond ourselves.

This is truly an amazing story. I believe in God and that he died for our sins.❤️

I believe this! Every word of it! Children have a certain spot in GOD's heart. God allowed him to see what he saw to come back and share. He has so many negative comments going towards him for sharing what he saw. But he doesn't care. THAT'S WHAT FAITH IS ALL ABOUT!! Kudos to you sweetheart! heaven is for real! 4 yrs ago i witnessed my grandads spirit rise to the roof of the church and be collected at his funeral,,, 1yr to that date my son was born,, both of us heard something when he was born,,4 words! i cried like a baby watching the film because i could relate so much to the subject matter

Beautiful testimony. It's disappointing to see how many people think this is fake. Once you experience it you will now. The sad thing is 1 out of 1000 go to heaven. The rest end up in hell. So if it makes you feel good to comment so rudely then so be it. But this young boy is serving the Lord and saving souls by sharing his story.

That's what I always hear from people who had an experience going to heaven and went back here on earth, the all said that everybody in heaven looks like they only looked 25-30. How amazing it is to be reunited with your love ones.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I truly believe Colton and his family. I believe he did see Jesus, angels and heaven. However I believed that heaven and Jesus and God were real without hearing Colton's story too. I have faith without seeing, to know that Jesus is the Lord and Savior. I look at a baby, the human body, the way the earth is positioned exactly perfect to sustain life here a certain distance from the sun. I only have to see my children and know that a divine God created them and I was only the vessel that brought them into this earth. Heaven is for real, just look at the amazing miracles that tell us every day. I thank my Jesus for his gift of salvation, available to anyone and every who will stop and accept it. we know people in heaven are young. we know prophet jesus is in heaven.we believe in angeles and most importantly we believe in god.

Absolutely love this! Answers so many of my questions that I thought I would have to wait until I passed to learn the answers to.

His eyes are amazing and flowing with love and his smile is great I couldn't talk or move I just stared at him for ages

I've always believed this kid, because while I've never had an OBE myself, I knew someone who did. In fact, it was someone real special to me at the time (That's all I'll say about that, lol). She was hit by a truck and pronounced dead for a very brief period of time. Before she was revived, she swore to me that she went somewhere and found herself walking through a tunnel, with a very bright light at the end. While she didn't make it all the way through, she knew that was where she had to go. I still remember her telling me this story very vividly and I believed her, as well.

It still amazes that so many can only discount this story because they wrote a book about the experience. If you don't believe them and you want to comment then you have to come up with something better than they fabricated the story to make money. Really, money? Or his family are pastors & they brainwashed him! A 4 year old. Most of you have not read the book so you are commenting out of ignorance of the facts. God is real whether you believe He is or not. He loves you & He allowed this painful family experience to happen so many would believe and be encouraged & seek Him. Colton met a sister he never knew existed along with his grandfather & he related stories that his father had never shared about him. How do you explain that? If you read the book & still think it is a fraud, you can explain you reasons for your unbelief when you see God face to face. Everyone will stand before the Judgement Seat. Did Jesus die on the cross for your sins? If you never received His salvation then you will never spend eternity with God. Why would you want to? If you have no time for God here on earth now & you look for every opportunity to criticize Christians & Almighty God Himself, what makes you think you'll want to be with Him in heaven after you die? It's never to late ask God to show you the truth & for you to repent of your sins and be forgiven. Who ever calls upon the name of Jesus shall be saved. What have you got to lose? You have everlasting life to gain. Ask God if Jesus is real. He will show you. If you seek me, you will find me if you search for me with all your heart. It is a promise He will keep!

I've spent zero time with God on earth, just like everyone else, so why is the fact that I won't be spending time with him after I die supposed to be remotely disconcerting? 'Why would you want to?' An excellent question. I suggest you ask all the religious folk the same thing. 'If you have no time for God here on earth now & you look for every opportunity to criticize Christians & Almighty God Himself, what makes you think you'll want to be with Him in heaven after you die?' Nothing. I don't. What's your point? 'It's never to late ask God to show you the truth & for you to repent of your sins and be forgiven.' Most of this comment is devoid of creativity, but this takes the cake. Of course it's too late! It's too late after you murder 6 million Jews. It's too late after you enslave and torture whole families of innocent people. It's too late after you kill young women and posthumously rape them. Do you want to bump into Hitler or Ted Bundy in heaven? I'd imagine both of them repented before their respective deaths. If God is as merciful as you claim, he'll be letting all manner of despots and psychopaths through the gates. A just God is what we need, not a merciful one. If it's so easy to be forgiven and granted 'bliss' (as blissful as a place can be when you're surrounded by other people forever) be prepared to take one up the ass from Jeffrey Dahmer when you get there. What he is describing goes against what the bible says. Acts 2:29, 34 29 Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day. 30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne; 31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. 32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. 33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear. 34 For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, The bible clearly states that when we die we sleep until judgement day. How could the young boy say he seen King David if the bible states that he is still sleeping?

Not sure if it matters since this comment is a month old, but what it seems you're basically saying is "since I can't fathom any other possible explanation, god did it", which is an argument from ignorance fallacy. There's nothing here that can't be explained by the fact that people can have dreams based on their beliefs, and being from a religious family it's not a stretch at all to think that for example he was fed these lines either knowingly or unknowingly by his family, and being a common 5-year old was all too eager to please them and gain their acceptance, especially since as I understand it these details didn't come out until long after the fact. Which would be normal, it wouldn't mean he's a bad kid, just that kids are prone to embellishment, especially when it comes to pleasing the authority figures in their life. In fact, I can't think of anyone less trustworthy about a claim than a five year old. Anyway, if you say it can't be disproven you'd be right, but I don't see how this could convince anyone who values skepticism.

Every religion has people who claim to see miracles, even if I believed in a god I would have to disbelieve all the miracle claims of everyone in all the other religions. How many stories from other religions have you read about and had to explain? And even if I die and meet a god, why would I have to explain why I didn't believe this kid while I was alive? You believe there is a god who determines what happens to me after I'm dead based on whether or not I picked the right near death experience to believe and then didn't believe the wrong ones? Why would any god care about that? Does he care if pre-schoolers can tell which characters on Sesame Street are real people and which ones are puppets, too? If a god wanted me to believe in it, then it could just make me believe in it. What am I going to do, complain that I wanted to be lied to? Sorry Mr. God, can you make me forget you exist, I would much rather not have eternal life and happiness? That doesn't make any sense. None of what you believe about god makes sense. If you want people to believe you, then start believing something that makes sense.

Now i understand after reading all these comments, how much courage it took for a family and for a boy to share their experience ... How much that boy might suffer at school and how many unsensitive comments they will get, i see people really dont like believers, it hurts that they say it is because of our limited minds,well what can i say...I myself have had experiences, and i have literaly proof of Gods existance, but when i was a child i never needed any proof, there were helpfull situations, that i did not have any choice but to rely on God, and God always listened to my prayers, always! And that is what makes me want to praise him, cause he always was with me, he held me strong when i had a really rough childhood, i thank God for everything good, and actually even for bad stuff too, because that brought me closer to Him.I just was afraid to tell my story to people, because of all this going on....For me its hearbreaking.Keep it strong Burpos!

I am on the side that God is real and Heaven and Hell is real.Jesus is real. But that's not where I am going. God fights His own battles. So for everyone here who has written that there is no God, I pray that you meet with him. Just one encounter with the King, its all you need and it will change everything. I pray you have it and when you do please don't forget to tell others.

I believe that God is real. And so is heaven. When I first read this book, I started to cry. God loves each and everyone of you. If God is for real, then I would like to meet him someday. When he started to talk about the markers on Jesus, that really got to me. I really love this book. And I believe that Heaven is for real.

Such a touching story !! I love it

I have had visions from God so God is real and will show you and tell you what you have to know. We are chosen to witness to others from God for God to save souls.

Only a parent would understand the pain of their dying child . This family almost lost their child and God heard their prayers and tears . Not only God gave them back their child , he sent Colton back with a message ! This book is incredible !!!

This book was inspiring. I love the Burpo family already.

He described angels just as they are. He was certainly not wrong about the angels shining with so much bright light full of love.

When I saw the photo of Colton, how he was when he went to Heaven, so very cute!!! I laughed aloud and said to Jesus, "No wonder he said he spent a whole lotta time with Jesus!" You just can't resist those cute little faces can You!" I felt like Jesus was kind of grinning when i said it! What a wonderful experience, Colton!! Glad you shared this. His parents are both lovely too!

Hallelujah! I’m so excited to go to Heaven. You can go too: Confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus. Believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead and you will be saved! (Romans 10:9) Life with Christ is INCREDIBLE!

I do not care who believes this and who does not, I'm just grateful to have the book and hear Colton's experience. In any case, someday all will be revealed and then the doubters will learn what is truth and what is not.

God is indeed amazing and can do things which we might see as impossible.He healed the blind man, and please he rose from the dead what cant he do.He is absolutely amazing

there are many people who went to heaven. jesus God took them to heaven to let people know what kind of a place it is. heaven and God is for real. i know and i believe :)

My granddaughter just received this book of your's Colton. Her grandpa just passed away last. Month , my Military Son her dad and her mom , plus 4 other brothers and sister.. haven't given there life's to Jesus. This grandma at times I speak face to face. Would tell the everything ..I could over several years. Praise the Lord . She's been reading your story to me , My heart is so Grateful. Because , I'M hoping Jesus will use her and your book. To win the rest to the Salvation of Christ Jesus. . Amen

I need you to pray for me, so that I get cured from testicular cancer. I'm in danger of losing my testical, I don't want to go through a painful surgery that will remove it from me. I'm only 11 so I'm very scared and embarrassed to tell my family. Everyday I act like I'm happy but on the inside I'm crying in fear of this. This is urgent for me, it can spread and get worse. I love this story. I cannot get enough.

Now this story would be more believable if this child never heard of Jesus or any of the song's that the angel's sang,But i am more then sure that his parent's told him that Jesus is with him just before he went to the operating room

As a result of prayer by believers in Jesus, the boy has this remarkable experience with Jesus. I kind of doubt this would happen to a Muslim child whose parents are praying to Allah. Or an atheist praying to his god, the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

It's crazy to me how people don't believe .... Jesus Christ is real! I've been saved too and have seen his power, he gave me a second life Nov 13, 2002 and he gave my son a life as well

Okay, I am a strong Christian and I have read the book twice. I am not saying Colton's story is not true, but there is one thing that has always bothered me from the very beginning: Why didn't the Burpo family videotape ANY of Colton's stories told by little Colton himself? I mean, how come the family never provided any video of little Colton answering his parents' questions like "so, you met Jesus? What does he look like?" As most of you know, Colton's heavenly experience was discovered piece by piece, slowly over the years. He first mentioned he met Jesus when they were driving past the hospital he was staying in when he was sick. And I remembered the dad said in the book he was "so stunned" that he had to pull over his car to ask more question. Then later, Colton slowly revealed that he also met his great grandpa, his miscarried sister, etc, in different times. Obviously, Colton's words had greatly seized his parents' attention! So now imagine you are his parents, especially super strong Christian parents, and you believe your son's story, wouldn't you grab a camera as quickly as possible every time your son started to say anything about his heavenly experience? I definitely would! Some of you may say: well maybe they don't have a camera. They do. And the Burpo family actually seems to love to record their cute kids' lives. You can find lots of shots of Colton's babyhood on KZread with different interviews. Some might say: well maybe every time Colton revealed something, there happened to be no camera available at that moment. Possible. But still, if you were the parents, wouldn't you still pull out your camera LATER and ask "so Colton, when we were in the store an hour ago, you said you met your sister in heaven? Could you please tell me about it again?" In conclusion, I am very bothered by the fact that there is no video evidents of such an important discovery... Anyone can give me an answer?

Obviously, Colton's words had greatly seized his parents' attention! So now imagine you are his parents, especially super strong Christian parents, and you believe your son's story, wouldn't you grab a camera as quickly as possible every time your son started to say anything about his heavenly experience? Erm... nope. Although I'm a non-religious but strong believer, I think it was just too intimate story for Colton's family to record it, do you think they wanted to share it with the world at once? I suppose they even didn't believe it at first. It's so amazing they still wanted to share this beautiful story. Atheists might say what they want, but I think God is real and so is heaven.

Would it make it more believable to any of the sceptics. I don't think so. It'll always be put down to 'set up' and 'money'. I believe the whole thing anyway but I do agree it would have been interesting to hear it from him at the time. I suppose facebook didn't have such a strangle-hold then either. :)

Heaven is real yes it's real....I saw the beautiful garden of heaven too in my dream.... The air people breath in there is very very fresh air... can't wait to be there again.....💕💕💕

On 2012 I have dreams about God, he's so Big with 3 Angels. That's why I believe Colton Burpo. And now 2015 I have dreams again, I have seen a falling star in the daytime sky and we will be shaken.

Attention people commenting bad things. If you don't believe his story move on. But I believe that he is telling the truth. About four years ago my aunt was in a car accident.. She was very hurt and on the verge of never walking again. She said that as she sat in the car waiting she heard someone call to her. Saying her name and telling her that it was going to be ok. She was the only one around. She said it was a mans voice and that the voice calmed her with every word. People today don't want to believe that God is there and I don't want to believe the angels look down at us and watch us and They don't want to believe that heaven and hell are real places but they are.. This world has become so disconnected from where we started and it breaks my heart to know that so many people have discredited this beautiful story All because the world has lost its faith.

So I have ask this question before. Why dose God let bad things happen to kids and children. And let wee babies who have not even got into the world die . Are dirty pervies hurt and kill kids and sexual abuse kids . Why would God let them people do that on wee children. If you say God is about has he not the power to stop children and babies suffering bad death and pain . Why does God let people die and be killed so badly like 9/11 are France by evil people. Why dose God not stop them evil people he as so much power. Why is there different religions . Ment to be one God . when you die your just dust and muck your worms meal no noughting happen your gone end of . And it's just mire humans that live on and die and more human that live after them and so on and so on .

delta Force Everything happens for a reason & Do u know that god had said in eternal life u will be with him? Did u saw the Movie The Bible which is a very true story the part where there was a girl who was being stoned to death but god said If u have never had sin u can throw the rocks at her but if u have made a sin even once u cant but the people stop throwing the rocks at the girl because jesus was right if u had never did anything bad or even life or cheat then ur perfect but nobody is perfect who r we to judge? Only god can when he said u will have an eternal life that means in heaven even if ur a criminal or had killed or raped someone when u die u will still go to heaven as long as ur committed to god and as long as u believe in him u will be with him in Paradise i had asked my youth leader about that and that was the answer that i got when i asked why satan if bad? When he punishes the bad people?,,.. & Tbh im a catholic but when i was 14 i had stop believing in God i turned unto Satanic but it doesn't make any sense because im still nice not a bad person im always friendly & cheerful now im joining a youth im still satanic tho.
