Jaymi Elford was in an interview where she said that lo Scarabeo had her make a book for this deck, but didn't have any contact with the creator. This obviously shows with how disappointing the book is. Where she didn't know what things meant she decided to skip them. The brand on the lion is the symbol for sulphur a correspondence for this card. Great video thanks for sharing.

Rather shocked to hear it! I can't imagine accepting a job to write about a product I don't and have no means to fully understand - nor asking anyone else to do that :-(

I love that the High Priestess has her arms half way up, where in the RWS her arms are dow and in the Thoth, they"re all the way up. Her pose is in middle of both.

Hi Kelly another great video. I have all three decks as well . I loved seeing them side by side like this. The differences between them made me like them all individually so much more. It also increased me my liking of the Heaven and Earth the most . You have a great way of looking at the cards and when I have time to listen to you . You usually help me to see other ways to use my cards. Also, you help me to go deeper into it a whole different way. You definitely get me thinking and wanting to try new things with the cards Thank you.

I absolutely love this!! I am a beginner, and I purchased this deck because I was immediately drawn to the art work. But..I didn't understand the symbols. I already planned on Journaling this deck. Now I know where to look now for a deep dive into this deck

What's interesting about the hanged man in thoth vs rws is the leg crossed direction. The Thoth correctly points to the left, because the hanged man sits on the pillar of severity.

This tipped me right over the edge! 🤣 Love it!

I appreciated your mention of the Darkness of Light Tarot. I got the Heaven & Earth and Darkness of Light at the same time, and even though I really like the Heaven & Earth, I find myself reaching for and using Darkness of Light more often.

Thank you for this walk through - it is my favorite deck right now and is always fun to hear other's opinions. I agree about the glossy finish and glare. Also, I wish the cards were a bit bigger, simply because the images are so beautiful I would like to be able to see them better (58 year old eyes). The only other issue I have is that the Empress is the card I always want to be fabulous as it is my favorite card, and this deck missed the mark for me. But I love everything else about it- thanks again!!

I just saw news of the Runic Tarot yesterday and thought, 'Wow, that looks so much like The Heaven & Earth Tarot' - now I know why! I've gone back and forth on this one; I'm both repulsed and intrigued by its classical imagery. But because of my Scandinavian ancestry, I'm excited about the Runic one. Although the lack of explanation on the symbolic representation in the guidebook to this deck made me frustrated for over 6 months, (since acquiring them) this is what inspired me to research and learn in depth the correspondences (that most decks I’ve come across don’t even scratch the surface on) regarding astrology, the Hebrew letters, the tree of life, Thoth, (and everything else Inclusive on the Heaven and Earth Tarot.) THANK YOU SO MUCH for explaining the last symbols and what they are. (I thought perhaps the arrows were a hint to a hidden image in the cards, although I could not find anything, lol!) This is going to kick my ability to intuitively read the cards into super nova. Had the guidebook provided these answers, I would have been highly overwhelmed which would have yet again blocked my desire to learn and understand Tarot slowing my progress. With the combination of my love of the artwork of this particular deck, the fact that all the answers I’ve been searching for from one deck to another are all on this deck(yet without explanation) mixed with the researching that I’ve done online, I am now completely confident and extremely excited to see my progress to become the Tarot reader that I have struggled to envision becoming. (Researching and finding the answers oneself really helps in understanding and learning better). I guess that Jack Sephiroth and Jaymi Elford could have put a disclaimer that this deck is for professional Tarot readers only, but then I would not have purchased them, and had this breakthrough if they had. (Makes me wonder if it’s just me? Or was this their intention all along?🤔) I’d place my bets on the latter, they both are to intelligent, advanced, and know what they are doing, to think otherwise. (In my experience, most Tarot deck creators are guided by the very spirit, angel, entity, guide, being, (whomever or whatever one calls them, as well as whomever or whatever they are as long as they are of the white light and love of our creator!) I guess we may never know…….. 💁🏼‍♀️ lol! Thanks again! Namaste 🙏🏼💙🤟🏼

Thank you for explaining the content of the book. I was debating between the kit or the regular one . I wanted to know if the book was worth it .I have plenty correspondence books I could use to help me with the deck .

I was quite excited when I first saw the previews of this deck, but after seeing it in previous reviews I find it to be very RWS (of which I get the deck is based on). I like to work with decks that are very different from each other, especially as I tend to gravitate towards non system decks. I somehow thought the deck was going to blend a different system into it, but from what I have seen it has a limited amount of Kabbalist, Alchemy, and Astrology symbology. The imagery IS beautiful though, but the deck doesn't call out to me. Cie Le Vie. 🎃🕯✨🧡b🖤

The Rider Waite Tarot Is a Golden Dawn based Tarot.

I was really disappointed by the guidebook I got the set mostly because I was interested in learning about all the connections of the symbols on the cards but there wasn't much in the book at all. Thank you for reviewing this!

That "brand" on the Strength card is one of the alchemic symbols for Sulphur. I'm not an expert, but from what I gathered it represents masculinity and the soul of the human body. It being on the lion may suggest the idea of the vivacious masculine soul being quelled and tamed by the gentle nurturing qualities of the feminine. Maybe? 😅

Love your walk throughs.. I listened to this whilst cleaning the kitchen😂 The Thoth "failure" card is actually "fear of failure". I don't know why it isn't written on the card that way but that's what it represents. If it was just Failure I'd be turned off by that card too...just saying ;)

I HAVE THIS DECK AND I LOVE IT, I call it the “Heaven or Hell Tarot” because it sounds catchier that way to me😂. I get a kick out of many of the cards like: The Devil (I see the woman figure as Lilith and She’s mocking the man figure all “OH WOE IS ADAM ALL ALONE OVER THERE),Queen of Sass…I mean swords holding the dimwit’s head who tried to tell her no, The Lovers with the angel figure aiming the sword at the back of Adam’s head all “Don’t you mess this up or you gonna get poked in the head”, and my absolute favorite Judgement, the angel accidentally sticks the horn up his nose and blows waking up the passed on and all the passed on go: “AWW COME ON DUDE, YOU HAD ONE JOB, WRONG HOLE!” 😂😂 Speaking of Runic tarot, and coming from having an intensely close and devoted bond with Hel, I am honestly disappointed and rather put off with how Hel was addressed and the card She is on (5 of Cups). The WORST part, is how the guidebook writer called Her a “figure” rather than call Her by Her name, kind of like a “Oh Yeah, She is there, whatever but here is the card meaning”, least how I caught it as. I will give the artist an A+ for depicting Her flawlessly, but the guidebook writer I am not pleased with how Hel was spoken of.

Ahh, I haven’t seen that depiction, I only saw some of the cards I think that were posted on Facebook as they were being created, I try to keep a fresh eye for when I can see it all come together when it’s a deck I am really stoked about, obviously that can lead to disappointment as I usually want to see all the cards first, but this one I will have to see it when it comes! I wonder knowing what I know now about this deck, that the writer may have had little to know contact with the creator, if she didn’t know who she was? If not, that is a real problem with Lo Scarabeo for not having a true collaboration between the two. Just thinking out loud! I am, however, glad to hear that the artistic expression was good!

@@TheTruthinStory I agree the deck is gorgeous, just the card chosen and written description had me all: “…WASTED POTENTIAL!” But credit is due for the artist portraying Her accurately, and now a-days many decks critically fail depicting Hel. If not the Death card, Hel would have been a phenomenal option for the 5 of Shields (Pentacles Ha!); She could have been depicted welcoming two newly passed on people into Hellheim and give that potent trait of Her’s welcoming any and all into Her realm, and She takes on Her own will to serve them any needs they require. Also, my ♒️ Moon, Ascendant, Drunk Saturn and Lilith 100% approve and understand the unique thinking!😁😁🖤🤍

The artist is asian and also a 100% Heathen aka Norse Pagan so he knows what he is depicting. Add a little fantasy to make it to the market because he is specialized in fantasy and done. It really shows the great passion and effort that the artist did to the Runic Tarot, it seems like it is really his deck. On the other side... The writer... I think I have problems with every writer from Lo Scarabeo because I totally despise all their guidebooks lol.

Got the h and earth looks great on videos so blurred and dark images in reality adds nothing new bar the golden dawn keywords

I don’t find my copy to be blurred in person, the tone is definitely darker not unlike other darker toned decks I have, but it is something that I enjoy in person, it makes the light and shadows really pop to me but it IS dark and not everyone will like that.

I also notics the nod to "christian" art history from dabbling in art history. In case you're wondering about the other symbolism thar you consistently bring up through out the video. Like I said before, the Toth symbolism and the symbolism at the bottom threw me off.
