HEATED GLOVES VS. HEATED GRIPS [Cold Weather on Motorcycle]

#heatedgloves #heatedgrips #heatedgear
Heated Gloves vs. Heated Grips has been an on going debate in the motorcycle world since I entered it. Here I explain which I prefer and why and when it's below freezing, what I do to keep my hands warm.

Thanks man, You don’t know how much I needed to watch that video. I went back and forth over and over on that. Just finished a 3300 mile cross country ride with a couple buddies. It got wicked cold, especially in Colorado. Running that wire through my jacket to my gloves was a ridiculous exercise. Listening to a regular dude like yourself over a cold beer . . . My grips are being installed today! Thanks again!

A few sips and dripping down the shirt and who is noticing just watching the video here. :) I'm a Corona guy myself.

Dude, I needed to see this exact video! So truthful and I didn't even know it until you told me lol For now, I'm going to to do insulated gloves and a hand warmer above and below my hands. (No heated grips at the moment.) Thank you!!

Got rechargeable battery gloves. 3 temperature setting. Works as it should. And no wires. Used it into the 20's with no fairing. I would have to charge them every other day. And my heated jacket the same. But I carry my gear into the house anyway and put on the charger when I take stuff off.

@@jimperry4420 I will dig the gloves out. I do not remember. The jacket is a Craftsman. I paid 169 for it. Same battery for 6 years. So I cannot really complain.

Muffs + heated grips I think it's the best or the basic set up. Then one can add different types of gloves.

The new heated grips good for me down to 20 degrees … bulky gloves is horrible about feeling your controls

It is not unlike me to ride in 7 degree weather so heated gloves are a must, I just do not favor the drama of having to hook up the controller, put in a little pocket on my jacket, hook up and put on the second glove with the bulkness and lack feel with the first glove. It is more drama than I am writing here, but I would rather ride than drive a big ass fuel guzzling pickup. However, I concur with all you said except the disconnect between the gloves and the handle bars. Heated gloves feel the same as the lined ones. I never really thought about using the hand warmers inside the glove. I was considering installing heated grips to avoid the drama with heated gloves. By the way, according to the National Weather Service's Wind Chill Calculator, 7 degrees at 80 MPH is -32.2 degrees!!

Maybe another set of heated gloves would do me better, but I'm fairly happy with the grips and hand warmers on longer days, I'm not sure I'll ever try another set of heated gloves.. such a pain to plug in

To bulky? "Disconnected from controls" they are just like any new winter gloves just needs a little time to get used to them and adjust your muscle memory its not difficult

Yours might be, but ours feel like it's extra effort to bend the fingers. Two separate manufacturers gloves. Not sure If it's the leather plus the gortec or what's different, but neither like what we have and feel so much different than any other glove we have. In saying we, I remember I was the only one in the video, but used both our experiences when making this video.

@@TwoBlueFRED just need to break them in. My gloves i got now was horrible when I got them. I only got them because my friend lent me his one day and they was amazing. Mine are now the same but took a month or so of continues use to break them in. If you don't ride a lot wear them whenever you can to loosen them up. I know not all gloves are the same and I get what you are saying

I use heated grips with Barkbusters hand guards. My problem is my fingertips get cold when it's close to freezing (I guess in the 30s Fahrenheit) and I don't think heated gloves would necessarily fix this!

I got heated gloves with pretty good reviews about $80 ones and this morning I came to look for advice because it was around 30°F and riding on freeway even with my heated gloves on and at The Highest setting my fingertips were still freezing and my hands not cold but not really warm either (I ride a naked bike) no guards no heated grips
