I found this song because of a hotel in Bude, Cornwall. I walked my dog past the outdoor bar attached to 'An Mor' hotel a dark, balmy quiet summer night... Music that I thought was not usually my taste was playing and the nearby kids adventure sports playground was teeming with kids laughing and playing... and I cried with happiness because life in that moment was good and my emotions were free. Immediately memorised the words and googled the lyrics: 'Kids' by Nick Rattigan... since then I explored playlists and found a genre that added to my widened horizon at 48yrs. This was one which stuck in my soul and has resonance for parts of my life. Be good to each other and appreciate the small things you have, don't despair for the things you don't have.

There are just those days when your in an eternal funk and unable to dig out. Everything around you feels slow and heavy, every movement is thought about longer than it takes to perform and a smile is harder to fake than being sober for the cops...but then I heard this song and all of sudden I was walking in the sun light as a feather and well on my way to cracking a smile! Been almost 10 years since I first found this song, was reminded of its existence while I was going through an old playlist, but the particular video was deleted, so I spent half an hour trying to find the song again. Time well spent.

I'm a day late as its Monday morning, but, it Is my first listen. This has a very nice feel to it, like it a lot.

The sound of her lines leading into Only for you are like this struggle to unravel that blooms on the last line so creative in her annunciation of the words

I stumbled across the live version of this and extremely and pleasantly surprised to find the lead singer was a female vocalist! I don't hear many deep voices in songs so this was amazing to know. Also, she sounds exactly the same as she does in the studio version. Absolutely amazing, fantastic and strong vocals that really touches your soul
