Since I’m hearing this is the last season, we either need a spin-off or a brand new family show with rich character creations and story development, all the good elements centered on great Family values that made this show the success it gained internationally!

I agree with you. The KEY being "Family Values" for all ages ! Absolutely no Adult soap opera garbage like Heartland has become over last couple of years! I for one not interested in a spinoff if it includes Michelle Morgan or Chris Potter or whoever played Peter, Chase, Amhed! Lol!

If she has no new films lined up for herself you can bet she will do everything she can to have another year filmed right in her back yard! But as I see it the actors are tiring or at least they all seem so non real in there acting. That coupled with the reduction in stunt doubles, there film quality is not that good and I see absolutely no real storyline since the departure of Graham! And I think they know it. They have lost a large portion of there audience since Graham's departure. Just saying

@jc-vj9gc see I've enjoyed the last 2 seasons without Graham but I agree the actions this season is just dull no life in it. It feel more like they're reading off the script. So in that sense and as much as I love the series I'm hoping this is the last season.

Interesting! We watched season 14-16 once and have no interest in seeing them again. Season 17 will likely be included in that group if it resembles what we saw in episode 1.

This guy is not for Amy. He doesn't hold a candle to Ty.

​​​@@gizzmowallissI really believe there are a few beliefs that causes fans to be split with this topic of a man! As I see it Ty was 1 of 2 main characters on the show (but best actor on the show). I think a large portion of the Ty fans still believe he will be returning to the show in some fashion(won't happen but they are stuck in that thought). Then there is another large portion who believe when you had a soulmate like Amy said Ty was, plus her own statement that Ty gave her enough love to last her life time that you have committed to each forever! I think many understand that if you did not have a happy marriage like say Lou/Peter, Caleb/Ashley, Caleb/Cassandra etc they would likely move on with others. And then there is the group who are simply adult soap opera finatics and there main interest is "Amy needs a Man", Lou needs to drop a guy every other month, they like seeing Tim with multi girl friends in the same year, they enjoyed the Chase & Amhed scenes with Amy etc. If ya get my point!! And how many times in the fan comments and in these script writers comments have we seen the phrase "she needs to move on with her life"!! And people are split in what they believe that means. And as I see it it will always be that way in life! It's a shame but....! You factor in Amy has a child and what is in the best interest of her?? And that will stir up another heated discussion which I will leave to the audience. I have my beliefs, you have yours and all the other fans have there's! I just throw that out there! With that have a nice day from beautiful Alberta, just a very short drive away from the Heartland filming site!!! 😀🇨🇦

Let's remember Alberta Amy is a Fleming! Men are at the top of Amy& Lou's menu. There children are secondary.Ty was the one who spent the time with Lyndy, talking to her not Amy! Let me see if I remember Amy's terrible men selections over the years: Jesse, Caleb, Chase, Chase again, Jeremy (she thought he was hot and got tongue tied talking with him), Chase again when she cheated on her best and only friend Soraya by going on a show date with him, Amhed( while engaged to Ty) and finally Finn who may have been nice on the outside but kept the secret of his on again off again fiance who he stayed with on his return to Sask! Who knows who's next on her radar! So ya we get a little nervous everytime she meets a guy, client or otherwise! Wouldn't it be nice and also what normal people would do by spending some quality time with her daughter by telling stories and talking to Lyndy about how great a father he was, that he saved her moms life in taking a bullet, that he put up with all her mom's fantasy affairs over the years yet stayed with her while other partners would never have tolerated her antics! And finally Lyndy: mom is getting rid of everything that was precious to your dad so his memory is lost so I can get back to selecting a man to boss around like I did with your dad!! Just saying! So ya true Heartland fans are concerned with any man she blinks her eyes at!! Lol!😂 You take care now!

@@Ty-ty8tyFirst, Heartland is about a ranching family, not a 9-5, Monday to Friday family. Second, Lyndy is a very little girl who does not need to know exactly how her Daddy died u til she is at least 14 years old. Third, Amy didn’t dump her daughter in daycare for 8 hours a day, five days a week and currently puts her in before/after school care. Her daughter lives in a multi-generational home with lots of family who are quick to care for her. Her mother thinks about her and does lots of things with her. It might not suit your 9-5, city slicker image of how how a child gets cared for but welcome to rural life.

She kept her ring she just put it on a necklace she’s wearing now instead of on her finger. Because she decided it was time to move on but she still wanted to honor Ty’s memory.

I was watching this show on Cozy TV. They had 3 episodes in a row. Now someone changed it . BOOOOOOO Emergency is nothing compared to Heartland. That was a bad decision. Please bring it back like it was. .

I absolutely love heartland and yes I miss Ty it took some getting use to. But I wait so long for a new season to come out I live in Dallas Tx. It takes forever to get it shown down here. And I hate that Ty is no longer on the show but I’d like for Amy to find another chapter in her life. I only say this because my husband didn’t die. He left me and our three kids and heartland seeing Amy focus on lindy and strong got me to get up every day after he left us. I know it a T.v. Series but it make us fans like we’re a part of the show. I’ve become a fighter and I’m stronger if that makes any sense? But I love heartland and I can’t wait to see the new season but I gotta tell you , i also watch it from the beginning all the time. It’s my happy place. Much love and a huge fan of all of heartlands cast ….( yes I miss Ty) but a new chapter for him and me and my 3 kids. Waiting for the new season change it patiently love, Charlotte from Dallas,Tx.

Don’t understand the Edwin hate, but I guess for some people you never get a second chance to make a first impression. I say give the chap a chance. After his not-so-positive intro last season, he’s been nothing but pleasant since then. And don’t come at me with any silly hand-wringing about not wanting to see an Amy/Edwin relationship. Can you imagine how awkward it would be to even consider that? He’s Rebecca’s dad, Rebecca being Lyndy’s friend from Rodeo School. Again: Give the guy _a chance_ to just _be_ Lisa’s trainer at Fairfield who happens to be working with Amy on occasion.

What?? I have never seen a comment that has said not to give him a second chance! Your second statement is great!! Works for Lisa and on occasion works with Amy! Perfect! But if you are suggesting he be Amy's next man?? Well that is a different story. My recollection is he is separated from his ex who also lives in Hudson and they share custody. If that is the case he is not divorced. At least by my standards. That plus I as do many many others believe he would not make a good pairing for Amy. But even more as you can see from the many comments over time we do not want Amy finding any guy at this time. Her focus should be her daughter Lyndy first and foremost, ensuring Lyndy knows everything about her dad and what a great father he was, 2nd her horse training business & 3rd the youth center that was set up in honor of Ty!! She can remain single just like her mother did! Besides this is the last season for Heartland so let them finish off on a happy Family show and forget the adult soap opera show!! Just saying! 😂😂

And no, I am not advocating for an Amy/Edwin pairing, I am trying to preempt any further whining from people who fear this possibility. I am not a "shipper" on the best of days and never have been.

You'd think viewers would have learned by now how not to throw hissy fits at every character that ever graces the screen. Why not choose positive comments over negative ones? Or better yet, "If ya don't got nothin' nice to say, don't say nothin' at all."

When people complain about Lou or Tim, for example, this is usually followed up with reasons, valid or not. I'm waiting for someone to actually admit to not liking Edwin along with their reasons. So far, I haven't seen these reasons.

Any should find a man you had a great actor sow replace him with same kind .example if Gretzky leaves your team go get two guy layfler s ps he played for the Canadians hockey if you want to have a great show Ty made Amy great and the show great now Amy character is average at best she is not sure of her self .she looks depress and scared no spunk and the man interest are not for her see Ty made sure did not let her get in this bad funk he gave her confidence made her feel she can do anything Example remember she was working with chase and chase told her to give up on the hoarse he was not a police horse material .and she gave up Ty comes back and in courage her AndAny made the hoarse a police hoarse in season 4 episode 14 see it and you see what i mean .great show but i think they are getting chip no georgi noTy bo Ashley and no scott they are going out of their way to make it average.
