Heartbreaking Cause of Thomas Kingston’s Death Revealed

The cause of Thomas Kingston’s death has been revealed at an inquest opening at Gloucestershire Coroner’s Court.
The husband of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent’s daughter, Lady Gabriella Kingston, died from a “traumatic head wound” and a gun was found near Mr Kingston’s body in an outbuilding at his parents' home in the Cotswolds.
The court heard that the 45-year-old died on February 25th.

Right about anyone can have depression and suicidal ideation but terribly wrong about treatment availability and repercussions within society and any positive future plans to stay mentally happy. In the US it’s called a 5150 and on background checks for certain employment it will show up…you can never better yourself financially if you fail at a suicidal attempt.😮

My sister's husband did this exact same thing. With a rifle. In their garden. Fully planned. To this day there is no answer. They were, to all who knew them, a very happy, sociable and successful couple in the first years of their marriage and with a wonderful holiday booked, ready to go. Money wasn't an issue, they each recently had promotions at work. My sister has since worked hard to recover. I shall never understand why he planned this so that a loved one would find him and if there's anyone out there who can tell me why, please do. I apologise that I haven’t kept to the subject of this thread but it's brought it all back. My thoughts are absolutely with you Lady Gabriella and your dear family. Please be comforted that you are not alone.

Sometimes it's the pressure to maintain all those things, or feeling undeserving of them. I don't want to make you feel worse, it's such an awful situation, I am so sorry. It's difficult to understand what an individual feels inside even when you think you know them. That is why the ones left to pick up the pieces always feel so guilty, why didn't I notice anything why didn't they say anything? Every individual HAS internal work to do, imperfections. If we don't work on them or even acknowledge them they will slowly chip away at our perception of our surroundings. A lot of people can handle things like that, but everyone needs an outlet. Balance is key, and easier said than done. Sometimes mental illness is a factor also, we know ourselves best and impossible to know someone completely no matter how well you think you do. The pain someone has to be in to commit such an act is heartbreaking, or how long they've struggled with going through with it. Thinking that their loved ones would be better off, what a lonely place that must be. I firmly believe that in order to get through the journey of life one must be spiritual or at least believe in something besides yourself, or it WILL swallow you up completely. Sometimes earthly love isn't enough... You're in my prayers ❤🙏🏻

@@Hereannow Thank you. It was very kind of you to respond to my question and yes, none of us truly knows another person's innermost thoughts and feelings. Devastating to those who love them. But why right where he knew only a loved one would find him? I'm not suicidal so therefore speak from probable ignorance but if I were to do that I'd go somewhere far away to spare my loved ones the agony of discovery. It's like women who abandon their newborn in remote places. Why not choose a busy house doorstep or hospital corridor or something? I guess none of it is premeditated. Thank you.

Like getting married or having children...another chapter in life to save them from whatever it is that is so painful that keeps them suffering. There is always a limit that everyone has...when they reach that limit of suffering and the pain never ends, they end it. Depression is one of the worse illnesses ever. Hard to recognise, because the sick person is so good at hiding it most of the time. Unfortunately, the medical profession still don't seem too good at recognise the problem, and often they just seem to push pills, if they take it seriously, as though it's a miracle cure. As outsiders, we often don't know the best way to react or reach out to the person either. The only good thing about the pandemic is that it seems to have brought mental issues to the fore. The bad thing is, it has created more mental health issues. Very sad.

You don’t think of what it’ll be like for everyone else or what will happen after you’re dead or who will find you. The psychological pain is so immense you just want to end it. Nothing else matters it’s so consuming. It pushes all other thoughts out of your mind until thats all that’s left. It’s such a horrible feeling. One night, a few years ago, I said "Happy Birthday" and "I love you" to a beloved family member. He said, "I love you too." Hours later my phone rang and I was told he was found deceased at his home. The weapon was nearby. He was in his forties. There was no warning. People who end their own lives have troubled minds. Tears are a language that God understands. We will be reunited with our loved ones one day. Prayers are going up for Lady Gabriella, the Kingston family and all those who love Thomas Kingston. Deep depression like this goes even darker than how "respectful and courteous" we are to each other. How we treat one another doesn't help tragic situations like this I agree... but unfortunately could not have prevented it either....again it went much deeper than this. Maybe the talk and speculation afterward in respects to the family could have been handled better by the public no doubt.

Some people have loving friends and family but still suffer because they are unable to help. With money and connections, there's mountains of help out there. If he had a history of.....or was battling the problem...yes. but I would hate for all who are depressed to have similar notions and give up seeking help. It's something depressives will seek out because they feel so wretched, they will confide in almost anyone. Their demeanour shows too. You can get well again with medication, and proper cognitive thinking. If drug addicted, that's a different matter. Or if covering personal secrets....need a Psychiatrist trained in such. Or a Priest.

There is gelp but you say anxiety and depression. Two opposite ends. Is anxiety making you depressed? Sort that first. Different medication. Please don't accept. You are in charge of your life and mind. Ask for help and seek till you are happy again. I worked in this field for several years and suffered such bitter blows myself that I practised what I preached. No situation or person has authority to destroy your reason. Avoid such situations and jettison the people. Stop any drink, drug or gambling that will bring you down too. You are then in control again and can build from a new start. Forget hurt. Learn from experience. Blessings.

We are all born with a void in our souls. We keep searching for the meaning and purpose of life. That void can't be filled with money, fame, worldly success, religion etc but Jesus. When that void is not filled it leads to anxiety, depression or even suicide. I was at that point but Jesus saved me. I have the receipts. My condolences go to the family and friends of the late.

I once cold-called a family whose father had done the same thing just a few days before. I was there to ask about the history of the historic house. They invited me in and were very friendly, seemed they welcomed a fresh person to talk to. The story came out slowly, to my shock and horror. I felt so much sympathy for them and tried to be encouraging. I even saw the collapsed garden wall which the poor chap had sat against as he blew his brains out with a shotgun. He had been a keen gardener and had built it himself, it was his pride and joy. I walked past it with his son, who remarked to me "that's where it happened". Turned out the father, who had made a fortune in property, had suddely lost it all in a foolish speculation. He couldn't face having to sell his beautiful home and take his family down to a lower social status. I can't judge him, his mind was grossly disordered.

A second cousin of mine attempted it twice, but luckily survived. He had to face up to a crime, and after his recovery did so, pleaded guilty and went to prison for a few months. His wife and grown-up children supported him through it. I see him around, looking after his wife who is now unwell and in a wheelchair, and am grateful he failed to "fix" his temporary problem.
