Heart transplant, David Wilkerson will represent Indiana in this year's Transplant games of America in Birmingham, Alabama. David was an avid runner in high school and college. He was training for a marathon when he felt the first symptoms that would lead to him needing a heart transplant in 2022. "I just felt super ran down. Something didn't feel right. That led me to see a doctor and then down a long series of steps that eventually meant me needing a transplant." David recently met up with some of his transplant care team for a training run ahead of the Transplant Games next month.
