Raw. No editing. No clever sound manipulation. Just one of the best female lead vocalists ever in one of the best bands in rock and roll. Awesome mic management for those of you that want to learn to SHOUT into the microphone.

Always has been. The girls are rockin. Guy boobs, not impressing. Want to hear a lame assed story? Well here you go. I was going to college and rode my motorcycle back to the apartment. Walked into the place and turned on the radio (remember radio). Heard Heart for the first time. It was about 1978 or so. Maybe earlier. After the rock stuff they did (radio) DBA seemed a little lame, but I was 26 and rocking. Love those girls who launched out to be the Beatles (look it up). Canadians, ya gotta love em.

Folks, It really could have sounded a lot better. But not here. There was spectacular recording and mixing equipment available, but it was expensive. It just wasn't within reach of small stations, and certainly not most schools. In 2022 we have the luxury of mic'ing everything separately, running it into separate tracks of a multi-track digital audio workstation, adding a lot of processors on each channel, and mixing it all precisely. Even garage bands do that in some cases (My kids went to school with one - Look up Barefoot Modern here.).

Absolutely !!! Ann Wilson is , without a doubt , the greatest female vocalist of ALL TIME !!! Superior to Grace Slick , Chrissy Hynde , and many more , Ann is in a League of her own , with Nancy right up there as well. Love Nancy Wilson's gentle heart. The only 2 female vocalists who even come close to Ann Wilson are Aretha Franklin and Pat Benatar. Am 64 , and have seen all 3 multiple times. We mustn't forget Nancy Wilson as well , as she is an extraordinary female vocalist. If Ann wasn't so strong / overpowering / captivating , Nancy would have received her well earned recognition. Nancy has the absolute sweetest , delicate voice. The manner in which she delivers is gentle , awe - inspiring , and her voice simply melts your heart. I love Heart with all my ❤ !!!

I was in the service at the time stationed in Germany with the Army. Every time I went to the commissary, I would just pick out an album at random just to see what I could find that I might enjoy. I spotted this album titled "Dreamboat Annie" by Heart. At the time there were not too many female rock artists so I thought, "Why not?". It was the best decision I made for my album choices. It wasn't long before I had the whole barracks rocking with Heart :)

In 23 days from today, this aired 40 years ago. WOW! 40 YEARS AGO! That's amazing. Ann Wilson: one the most incredible vocalists in rock & roll history! Ever since I heard this album in 1976, I've loved Heart. The album Dreamboat Annie was, in my opinion, nothing short of a masterpiece. Very well put together...a great debut album!

Yes it was good. But Little Queen was better. And Heartless, that would come out on Magazine, released without their permission before the album was finished. Great stuff from a truly remarkable period in music 🎶 🎵, '60s & '70s. 😎 🆒️ LedHed Steven 🎸 🎸 🎸 🎸

Nothing here but pure talent. Still to this day one of my favorites and this recording is pretty amazing. 70’s Heart is the best.
