This is the only heart granny square crochet tutorial that actually worked for me and was easy to understand!
Thank you so much for this amazing tutorial. Instructions were clear and my heart granny square came out so pretty
Dear Lass, hello. My name is Ann. I have been crocheting for well over 85 yrs. I have been trying to do this heart for some time. You have explained it so well. I have watched sbt 5 other educational videos and i still didn't get it. You are so patient and you make it clear for us to see your stitches and you don't go to fast for us Older folks. You are such a good teacher, thank you Lass. I am going to make this blanket for a little girl. Her family are homeless and she has nothing nice if her own. They sleep at my local park. I will be using a beautiful red , and then a pink heart for the hearts and i will use white for the background color. Thank you so much. God Bless, 👵 👍
this tutorial was the first tutorial to actually explain how to do the stitching and gave a great example and made it so easy to follow along.
Thank you for this!!! I’m making a temperature blanket and I’m going to make these heart squares to denote family birthdays. It’s so cute! You made this very easy to follow along for a beginner

Lovely! 💕
Im so confused im still at the beginning but sometimes when you say double crochet you pull through all three on your hook, but other time you pull through two on your hook, yarn over, then pull through the remaining two ?? Idk if im just seeing/hearing it wrong, sorry

Hi, the video is a support to the written pattern on the blog. So maybe it could help to follow the written instructions :) you can find them here raffamusadesigns.com/crochet-hearts-love-granny-square/
I also like your pointy crochet hook. What make are they please and where can I buy them from? Thank you.
Hi! If I want to make the *square* bigger do i just need to repeat the last step again? Or add maybe more chains??
@RaffamusaDesigns
Жыл бұрын
Hi, yes, you can simply add more rounds by repeating the same pattern as for the last one. So, it's 3 dc and 1 chain in each chain space from the previous round, and 3 dc, 2 chains, 3 dc in each ch-2 space at the corners

Hi thank you for replying. Is it possible to change the design a little? I have a project in mind but not sure how to go about it. I want the heart to have the pointed end facing a corner of the square rather than a flat side of the square? Is it possible to crochet it that way?
@RaffamusaDesigns
Жыл бұрын
Hi, sure, you only need to start squaring on one side of the heart, for example, in the second stitch where in the video I work a corner.

@@RaffamusaDesigns The reason I’m asking is I have not come across a crochet video yet that does it the way I described so that’s why I’m wondering is it possible at all?and if you think the answer is yes could you please do a tutorial? I think it’ll be a first on KZread. Thank you.
Note to myself : 15:29 or Round 5
4:30 Can you please explain this part? I can’t see where we are doing the slip stitch
@RaffamusaDesigns

Hi, the slip stitch goes in the first st of round 1!
How can I make the heart bigger please?
@RaffamusaDesigns
Жыл бұрын
Hi, A bigger heart means a totally different pattern. Different heart and different squaring... So, I'm afraid I can't help in just one comment, sorry :)
Hi! May I ask what are the measurements for this granny square? Thank you!
@RaffamusaDesigns
Жыл бұрын
Sure, it measures 4" (10 cm)
Do you need to weave in the ends? I don’t have a needle for it :(
@RaffamusaDesigns
Жыл бұрын
Oh too bad. Maybe you could try to weave in ends using your crochet hook. There are some videos showing how to do it online. I've never tried it though, so I cannot say much about it :)

Can you give a more thorough explanation on how you weave in the ends please? I’m in the process of making 192 of these for a blanket.
@RaffamusaDesigns

Hi, I don't have a video on how to weave in ends but I did write a blog post with examples + photos. You can find it here raffamusadesigns.com/how-to-weave-in-ends-crochet/ Good luck with the blanket :)

Hi, actually with Aran weight yarn, I get a square of 4" but different tensions can definitely result in different square sizes 🤗

Sorry about that... I'm not a native English speaker and I try to do my best, but maybe it might be easier to follow the written pattern that you can find here raffamusadesigns.com/crochet-hearts-love-granny-square/
