Living with this for 28 years, nothing stops me to do dancing, hiking, and other physical activities. But I’m still worried what will happen in the next couple of years. My doctors advised me that I have to go for an open heart surgery in the future.

I just had my son on 1/23. He has a ASD 14mm and a VSD 8mm..he as well has Holt Oram Syndrome. So Im alil nervous for him and his journey in life.

I was born with this. I was lucky enough to have my surgery for free 😁 since I was an orphan at the time.

Yes you can, I had it because at 45 I had a stroke.

My son had surgery to repair this problem when he was 6 months old. He is now 4 years old and very healthy but before his surgery he was struggling to gain weight and his heart was working overtime. Now he’s great and just drives us crazy with the amount of energy he has 😊

I have this but my hole is so small that it may still close by itself. And even if it doesn’t now that I’m moving onto being 15 and its closure chances reduce with older age there will be no particular worries with me.
