She's controlling, possessive, manipulative. She lies and hides things. She doesn't want her daughter to be unhappy, but she makes her so by her disgusting interventions. She says Shang Yang never smiles but does she ever smile ? The worst character.

My husband and I 17yrs apart and we still work it out and we are still going strong after 19yrs. Its not about the age but it's about the love, understanding and respect for each other. I understand the mothers perspective, protecting your daughter but then she at the age to make a decision for herself and as a parent we should respect that, but at the same time guide them to make a right decision, but not to the point to interfere with her life and makes decision for her. As a parent don't we all want the best for our kids, to see them happy and grow up and have a life well. As a mom i don't want to see my baby unhappy.

I am in total agreement with your comment. The mother's opposition to the male lead and her insistence on their breaking up their relationship is what led directly to her daughter's unhappiness. He lied to Tong Anian because of all the pressure the mother put on him to disillusion her. When she was ranting and blaming the boyfriend I would talk back to the screen ... "He didn't break her heart, you did! Don't you see you caused all this mess???" 😮😱☹😕

Мамочка такая интересная,Сначала обхаяла парня,а потом верит его обещанию.Как то не вяжется с ситуацией:с одной стороны она его ругает и запрещает встречаться с ее дочерью,а с другой успокоилась,когда он пообещал с ней не общаться.Если он такой плохой,то как можно верить его обещанию?Может я в чем-то не права?А холодный он с другими,а с ней,его девушкой он старается быть другим.А что можно ожидать от того,кто с детства не чувствовал материнской любви и ласки?Но,т.к. Тон Ниан его любит по-настоящему,он меняется от ее любви,даже начал улыбаться и более человечнее относиться к другим,в частности,к своим подопечным по клубу.Жаль,что ее мамочка этого не видит.😀🙏

Actually, when the kid finally declares to Tong Nian his feelings for her, he becomes a bit violent and she gets frightened by his grabbing her arms and shaking her violently. So the guy doesn't have proper control of himself. Han Shangyan never lost control with her or frightened her, other that his deep, penetrating stares.

Auf einer Art verstehe ich die Mama von Nian, doch sie hätte Shangyan eine Chance geben sollen, dann wäre es nicht zu einer Trennung gekommen 😢 uuund ich bin der Meinung, dass Shangyan hätte kämpfen sollen, um eine Chance bei der Mama von Nian zu bekommen 👍🤷‍♀️ da hätte Nian's Mama sehen müssen, dass ihr Einmischen ihre Tochter Nian traurig macht 😔😔😔
