Hearing my new Harley Forty Eight for the first time.

Комедия

The Winnipeg Harley Davidson dealership was so nice to deliver my new Forty Eight to my house. Amazing group of people there and I can't thank them enough for the amazing service. This was the first time I hear the bike with the Vance and Hines Slip ons. Needless to say, I was surprised at how loud they were! Enjoy.

I like reminiscing back in 1972 I bought my first Harley sportster which was a new 1000. I bought it in Bay City Michigan but I lived 18 miles away in Midland Michigan and it was early spring about 57° I had a 18 Mile ride and froze my ass off driving home as I wore a light jacket. I get a kick out of watching this guy as I can remember the excitement, I am almost 74 years old now so hope you have as much fun as I did

Could be part of the delivery. Bike fucks up or you drop it on the road it could fall back on them. Delivery driver puts it in your garage or driveway, hands you the keys and their jobs done. Maybe starting also shows it was working fine when we dropped it off

Been riding sports bike most my life, my last being a Busa….. BUT Decided to buy a Harley! It arrived at my home the same way. OMG I was grinning all day! Rode it and then understood why people love these bikes so much…. There is nothing refined about it, raw noise, clunky box, humour for brakes, and debatable handling, but I absolutely love it, more than any other bike I’ve ridden. Any excuse then I’m out riding it! I call it my “Time Machine” as it transports me from my 66 yrs to 30 at the press of the starter… Thank you Harley Davidson.

Never rode a 48, but they do look good. My only gripe is the tiny tank. Not going to make many friends in group rides, when everyone has to stop for you to fuel up twice as often as them. But for solo excursions, I could see them being pretty badass.

@@GixxerFoo Exactly. I don't know why they bothered having a 2.1 as a stock feature, instead of the 3.3. I understand them not going with the 4.5, since they want it to look old-school. But the 3.3 would have done just fine. And I used to love my Sportie, when I had one, but I'm a lot happier with my Softail Deuce. 5 gallon ( technically 4.9 ) tank, with fuel gauge, and the famous Softail suspension. Can't be beat, my friend. But I never had a problem with a Sportster, either. Anyway, happy riding out there. Stay safe!

My first HD was a 48 but I don't remember getting that many miles. Maybe 70 before reserve light came on. I took a 200 mile ride with another guy and his wife once and I filled up 4 times. I was so afraid I'd run out of gas, I just stopped at every opportunity.

I don't put that shit on my sport bike, for several reasons. One I don't feel the need to attract attention to myself, Two the sound is annoying. three I have this idea, that a billion dollar factory like Kawasaki , are capable of building a much more efficient exhaust system them some clown with a Crecent wrench in his garage and tuning it better!

*I don't understand why sound is so important to Harley Neanderthal* That is generalizing all HD owners including owners of said bikes you like. *I wonder why loud straight pipes on a sport street bike is so important to sport riders* I simply just reversed what you said. So see how it got you upset? That is how HD owners feel with your comment. Like how you called me a fagggot for riding a springer when I own a 650R and a zx10R. Your logic makes no sense.

What I don't understand is why you keep defending that Harley junk if you ride a fine of bike as a ZX10R? When I worked for Harley dealers, in the old days, I and my fellow Harley mechanic both rode Kawasaki Z 900 . We didnt go around preaching how we liked Harley
