@@Tangento Its more complicated than that. The choices are actually between an authoritarian imbecile who believes the 1st amendment is negotiable and a narcissist A-hole that doesnt respect the transfer of power. I think it's absolutely amazing that we now think of age when in almost every craft and every period of education that the elders the ones who have gained experience and knowledge and who can pass it on and benefit the newbees that is humankinds natural way of doing things. Now those who don't have experience, don't want it are loudly complaining that age is a problem, but that is like a troubled student yelling at his teacher or troubled child thinking that his parents when they try to stop him from running across the street disobey them. It's like the child and these inexperienced, unknowledgeable people want to rule instead of learning and gaining good experience from those "elders." And it doesn't mean can't challenge the elders but really, these newbees like MTG and others really think they have it all when they haven't really studied anything.

Also, I had forgotten for a moment he is also an actor too. And, like somebody else also said, CNN would never place a Trump supporter there. Reagan was an exception, but in the future, we should never elect an actor. You'll know for sure what role he will play, the role of an honest person, but it's harder to figure out who he really is. Even the average person plays the role of being a good guy, but actors, they can be professional deceivers.

I heard about Biden for the first time in the 90s, when he was a very aggressive Washington "hawk" who always advocated aggression, war, destruction... of everyone in the world who disagrees with US policy. And then for a couple of years he advocated aggression and invasion of a small Balkan state that has about 7 million citizens and is very small in terms of area. Because of the likes of Biden, like Bob Dole was. Madeleine Albright... In 1999 the USA+UK+19 NATO countries carried out a 78-day aggression against that small country, with daily multiple bombings from all directions with depleted uranium bombs and cluster bombs. 25 years later, children with malignant diseases are still born here. And this here is a dying nation. Demographically we are disappearing. Every year there are 35-50,000 fewer of us. And now that I see the old Biden through the media...put yourself in my shoes and try to understand what that feels like. And look at the miracles! The movie "father" of Michael Douglas was a great actor who, by nationality, is a member of the small nation I'm talking about. I have great respect and love for Michael Douglas. All his movies too. And he is very smart and well-read. He should remember Karl Malden and think about how much injustice was done to Karl's people... precisely by a creature like Biden. ... Only those who do not see beyond a few days will say: "What is good for the USA is not necessarily good for the rest of the world..." And they have led us to today's situation, we are literally in World War III, which from the day it is escalating more and more by the day. But let's leave foreign policy aside. Let's look at how the average American citizen lives today. Mike Douglas is a super rich man, he's out of touch with that kind of reality. He had no contact with such reality several decades ago. He is not in the shoes of most citizens. Meanwhile, what happened to the "American way of life"? Who put you in the situation you are in today? The problem of the USA is that all those in power do not come from the ranks of ordinary people but from the ranks of the privileged and super rich. The USA state has been run for decades by characters who are out of touch with the everyday reality of ordinary people from the majority. And as long as it is so; you will not be able to stop your downfall. Reality check; yes, you are rushing towards ruin and devaluing more and more every day. History teaches us one thing; every great empire existed, lasted and then collapsed for the same reasons. The decadence of the characters in power. The lack of empathy for other people, the struggle for ever greater power and supremacy and the sharp decline in the quality of intelligence among those who rule. The USA has never had particularly intelligent people in power in modern history... but in the last 30-40 years there has been a sharp decline in intelligence and a terrible expansion of aggressive charlatanism among the ruling class. It is sad to see that 300-400 million people go to irreversible ruin because of a few thousand unintelligent charlatans. But it's deserved. Sheep go to shearing and slaughter because they are sheep.

I am 60, soon to be 61, and I am still trying to understand this fascination with old men and women running this country. It happens the world over the young are never given the same respect as the older generation. Yet they are more up to speed with modern day living than their elders, their education is more condusive to jobs today. That's not true. Obama, Bush, Clinton and most of their administrations were all in their prime. It's just coincidence both candidates are old. Experience and a track record I guess... Consistency. The past two election cycles have been anomalies. I'm a centrist, i would prefer somebody to the right of Biden and the left of Trump. If you force me into a corner I'd have to pick someone for stability sake, and that would not be somebody on the left. Over time I've come to appreciate the age restrictions on the members of Congress and the presidency. If I had my druthers I would lower the age of everything else from drinking to smoking back to 18, with one glaring exception. I'd raised the age to vote back to 21. I've met too many people under 25 who have been negatively impacted by the lack of ideological diversity in their education. It's frightening to meet a college graduate in their early 20s who truly believes the world is going to end in a decade because of our mismanagement of the environment, or believes it is only fair and equitable for us to open our borders and allow the world in.
