So true western countries me khas kr france or Austria Germany K bahot se log talbina K bare me jaan ne K baad istemal kr rahe specially doctor tabqa Baqayda nashte me shahed K sath, mere liye hairan krne wali baat thi wahi main gehun ka daliya khati thi Or aapne jo information di Allah aapko behtar badla de apni shan K mutabiq Jazak Allah khairan kasira.
Yes barley is good grain , it's also sunnat e Rasool (SAW) and sunnat e maula Ali (A.S)

On the day of Basant Panchami, it is customary to put barley leaves along with cow dung on the door head as it is considered very auspicious.
