Health risk? 'Glued' meat being served at some restaurants

    It's not too hard to spot if you are actually good with the food. The one that is glued together, you can see that the grain is all over the place. On the other hand, the real steak actually has a straight grain.

    I like how the guy says he dosnt use it but he will show you how its done and his chefs do it perfectly. I smell foul play.

    The Traveler: Sprinkling a powder and packing meat into a mold isn't rocket science. Chefs do that all the time. Maybe stop with the paranoid delusions?

    the cook can see it, don't mess with the cook! saw this 15 yrs ago... at a real steakhouse you won't find this... super markets, yes... "super" deal

    I've cooked thousands of steaks, and no one can tell the difference, id worry about pink slime, abuse of turkeys and bad tenderizing a lot more than this...

    Chef Mike Benninger: So you admit to literally cutting corners and no word on foodborne illness as a result of undercooked meat? You must know that this is a risk and yet you're waiting for customers to complain to you when they get sickened? That doesn't sound very responsible to me.
