An online degree would not solve the problem unless you already have some work experience in the field of Health Informatics. Online degrees are done by experienced professional just for name sake. Also, if the course is purely online or distance learning then you don't get the industry exposure which helps to get that first job if you are new. So, to compile if you are an experienced professional go ahead with online courses; otherwise for a fresher we won't recommend.

WFH jobs are there but less, since it is a healthcare industry we might be required to be in the field at times. MNCs are still offering a WFH setup, but this is temporary. Eventually, as COVID declines, offices will be functional.

No PR is a different process altogether; hence you won't get PR based on the degree. Getting work will totally depend on how quickly you adopt the skills and present to the prospective employer.

Hello Anubha, Sorry for the delayed response. Actually in 2015, Ontario was nominating everyone with CRS score above 400. So it's not specific to any profession.

Hello Syeda, I'm not much aware of the post-graduate diploma program in Canada, please share the university or college link that is providing this course. Also, whenever you are looking out for real-time prospects of a course, do check the following: 1. How is the industry exposure provided during the course? This can be done through guest lectures, internship opportunities, volunteer work, etc. 2. Look at the course content and then compare it with others. Like in your case - ask for course content for both PGD & Masters's degree programs and compare them. This will help you to understand the difference between the two and choose the one that is more extensive. 3. Connect with people through LinkedIn who have pursued the course from the college you intend to apply to and ask about the course prospects. (Tip: connect with at least 10-20 people, then one would respond). Hope this helps! :)
