Being an undergraduate from India, and currently working in Malaysia, also made me realize that we focused more on theories than practicals in undergraduate, which is good in a way that my theory knowledge is quite strong to know what am i doing. But when coming to molar endodontics, aesthetic restorations, crowns and bridges and minor oral surgeries, i feel a little left out compared to my fellow malaysian graduates here. India has lotssss of patients we can learn from in undergraduate days. These molar endodontics, crowns and bridges etc are very much reserved for postgraduate students, but they are actually basic skills needed in general dental practice. Maybe its time to open up these skills for undergraduates as well. Being a fresh graduate and not being able to do a simple molar endodontics and a crown is difficult to sustain in the world of general dental practice out here. It’s difficult to answer when people ask me ‘you have never done a crown on a patient? What did you do 5 years in india?’

Sir, I have completed my MDS course in 2019. The MDS exam was conducted in June 2019. The Date of publication of final result was on 19/07/2019. I was awarded the degree at the convocation held on 30/08/2019. To work in Dubai , one should have at least three years working experience after MDS. So from which date onwards the experience of 3 years is calculated?. Will they calculate from date of publication of final result or will they calculate from the convocation date at which the degree is awarded? Kindly reply sir.
