Then there's the other end of the pond, with actual research too, stating that Sunscreen, particularly for Facial Skincare Routines, is important and must be worn everyday during the day. So which is it Sis?

The Sun is an important part of human evolution. Those in power, trying to prevent this, have demonized it. Skin cancer started to increase AFTER the use of sunscreen started. We have been lied to. Either believe it, or not....but why would the creator make out light be bad for our health? Believe that, or don't. But people who spend time in nature, are healthier than those who do not. You can overdo anything, sure. But decline in mental health issues seemed to increase, when people started being scared of the sun.

I truly love and appreciate your content, however I’m an esthetician (skin therapist) and you’re only putting yourself in harms way if you do not apply sunscreen when “sun bathing” particularly at peak times. No matter how much melanin you produce (y’all see me, I am DARK and apply sunscreen everyday). UVA rays break down your collagen, which in turn creates fine lines and wrinkling, prematurely aging you. UVB rays burn your epidermis, putting you at higher risk of skin cancer. The “chemicals” found in sunscreen are not harmful and often is just a way to fear monger. We are made up of chemicals, water is a chemical! Please wear your sunscreen folks! 💛

I generally wear my sunscreen because I tend to have sensitivity to sun. However when I wear natural mineral sunscreens my skin itches and gets irritated. I still wear them if I know I'll be out for long at high peak times, but will not if I'm doing a 15-20 minute early day or evening sun soak, when the sun is not as strong. I find this healing to my skin and my soul. Peace! 🦋
