can you show us a video of you putting the headlight back on without removing or dropping the front bumper? i need to replace my wife's d3s bulb and i don't have a phillips head small enough to unscrew the clip

It'll be easier to pull the headlight assembly out (not up as you're doing) )if you drop the front bumper. When you put the new headlight assembly in, It's next to impossible without dropping the bumper. (that's how I did it...)

Can you get the headlight assembly back in without removing the front bumper? It is very tight to try to get it back in.

Actually, I had trouble getting the headlight out without removing the upper screws. Basically, the headlight case is bigger than the opening. So I ended up removing the screws/clips from the plastic on top of the radiator and the screw from the front wheel well arch. That let me pull the bumper cover off enough to easily remove/install the headlight.

Its strange but Hyundai produced 2 diferent models of Santa Fe model 2016. Here in Brazil you can find both of them: with square HID projector (2014-16) and rounded HID projector (like this one - 2016 - 19)

@@carloseduardosad4083 Yes, you are exactly correct. I know someone with the "other" kind, they do not have the eyebrow fiber optic looking headlamp assembly. I have not looked under their hood, but I bet I know what I'd find. The guy at Discount Body Parts went the extra mile to make sure my replacement had the eyebrows.

I know, I was only messing around 😂 it made me laugh. Also for a 2016 Tucson do I need to take the entire headlight unit to replace the bulb?

Don't listen to this guy, He's doing WAY more than what's necessary. You unscrew the big black cap, take the wires out from under the clip, reach it, grab the back of the light, turn then pull. Replace the bulb, DO NOT TOUCH THE GLASS OF THE NEW BULB WITH YOUR BARE FINGERS! Then reverse the process. Literally a 2 min project WITHOUT taking your damn car apart. I really hope this guy doesn't attempt to do major repairs on other peoples cars. He would cause far more damage than good

You Cand do the same thing in different ways. If you know a better way just tel us. I’m doing carwrapping and I remove a lot of car parts. Is impossible to know how to remove all the parts from all the car brands. But I think like this, if the car was made by humans I can take it apart

@@DFCGarage hey, anyone can take stuff apart, even me. But it's putting it all back together without having any "spare parts" left over and it still operate as designed. My main point was this: why direct folks to dismantle stuff that doesn't need to be dismantled? The engineers at Hyundai made it EXTREMELY SIMPLE to replace the head lamp, like if I'd just went and attempted to change it without looking up any videos, i would have quickly figured it out. But, I'd not changed a head lamp in this vehicle before and some makes can be a huge pain in the ass, so i always go "take a class at KZread University" first. I was totally prepared to take this stuff apart after watching your video, but then i got to lookin at what was going on there and discovered that no tools were needed. It took it less than 2 minutes to swap both head lamps.

@@TheBiggRiggz I understand your point, but I found in my i30 there was insufficient clearance behind the cap and the rest of the crap in the engine bay to physically pull out the globe. Thankfully I've not had to do the globes on my Santa Fe or Accent, touch wood.
