Headlight replacement and LED upgrade 2002 Toyota RAV4

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Auxito website: auxito.com/?ref=btlvxo9mavy
2001 - 2005 RAV4 high/low beam headlights: 9003
In this video, I replace the old yellow headlights with new aftermarket headlights. The cheap replacement headlights from TYC actually have a much worse beam pattern than the original Toyota headlights. After replacing the headlights, I installed LED bulbs. The Auxito bulbs improved the beam pattern for the low beams, and have more light output than incandescent light bulbs.
I recommend using only original Toyota headlights in your RAV4. The LED bulbs are also a good idea. I should not have replaced the headlights, and just installed the LEDs into the original housing.

    Virtually all replacement parts from China, are inferior to OEM Japanese components. I'm done w Chinese parts .No more! Like Paul, experienced Chinese axles are junk I had a new PSteeribg pump, that had 2xs more play than the 109k orig..I threw it in n the trash. Ordered motor mounts .yep ...didn't fit correctly..and a few others ...I kept em too long to return .so there only for emergency parts... BUY OEM JAOAN & Be happy. YES IRS MIRE $..BUT SPEND THE $$ YOUR ALREADY SAVING $ BUY DRIVING A 20 YEAR OLD CAR...BUT WHAT THEY BUILT!

    The replacement is a straightforward process but my RAV4 has DLR on the headlights,(Canadian model) which cause the headlights to flicker rapidly unless they are actually turned on manually. Can anyone address this problem?. The DLR circuit seems to be a mystery and there is virtually no information on it online.

  • @LabCoatPaul

    @LabCoatPaul

    Жыл бұрын

    The DRL relay receives a signal from the computer and switches ground to the low beams. The ground comes from the left side fender apron. You need to check the DRL relay. Make sure the terminals aren't corroded. Try swapping the relay with another relay that fits. It's possible the ground is bad. Is your car rusty, or has there been body work done on the left front side? Go to my patreon and download the factory service manual that includes wiring diagrams. No subscription required. You don't really have to buy new headlights, if the original headlights have no cracks or defects, you can wet sand, then polish compound then wax them for a clean clear finish. That's what I did on my 2004 rav4 they look good as new. Also lasfit led lightbulbs are better quality.

    I’d rather replace with a brand new pairs for full crystal clear headlight projector or reflector. U will not get the same results as brand new oem headlight assembly replacement, maybe close but not close enough.

    Putting led bulbs behind this oxidation headlight will diffuse or disburse the light output like a flood light, and gives an off color temperature like green-ish kind. And it’s no good.

    how many motorist been blinded so far? reflector type housing + LED = bad for oncoming drivers

  • @toyotabrony

    @toyotabrony

    4 ай бұрын

    You only get blinded by the wrong type led bulbs. The Auxito - M3 H4 led bulbs that matches the specs as the halogen bulb, will not blind others. That’s a fact. As long as it retains the same beam pattern. That’s good.
