I don't drive at night much but I can't wait to try this out. I replaced the front liner and some lenses ( hit a cow a few years ago, passenger side ) so I got a new liner, grill, headlight cans and all and I'm allmost done putting it back together. Thanks for this vid, already ordered and received your harness. Fast shipping!

Yo, thanks for this video! Short and straight to the point. I'm pretty good with wiring, but this seemed a bit intimidating to me to install. Apparently I need this so I can run my led lights on my car because my brights aren't working. Thank you for making this easy to understand and not just going off topic like most videos seem to do. Earned a sub!

Have this kit on 81 CJ-5 and 95 YJ for over a year now and couldn't be happier with quality. Unless you already have all the materials laying around you won't be able to do it cheaper for the quality of the wiring. Be cautious of some of the cheap sets that may look the same, they are not equal. About half the diameter gauge versus this set. Highly recommended

Having trouble with lighting on my '99 XJ. I've been steered by other XJ owner to this upgrade but I have resisted upgrading the harness thinking I would have to re-wire stuff (which intimidates me!). I have a 1998 XJ and it was really tight routing the cable. As stated in the video 97 up body gaps are SMALL. I then realized ... loosen the header panel ! Take out eight screws loosen the header panel so it swings away from main body and then, SWIMMING with space. REAL easy routing those cables. I have LEDS and works GREAT, I see at night ! Like, really well ! I stand corrected ! First time I did this was on my 98, no room and thus loosening of the header trick. BUT, just installed on my 2001. There seem to be more holes and slightly wider openings. No need to loosen header. Maybe that was a slight mod Jeep made ? Maybe I got better at it ? I don’t know. Would compare 98 vs 2001 but the 98 has been in the shop for almost 2 months now cause the Jeep expert is struggling with my shackle relocation job and now the shackle box is totally mangled so I ordered a new shackle box that is claimed to be OEM fit but it’s delayed because of supply chain delays. Guess it’s sitting on a ship in the San Fran bay …

@Ksuspension So either oem bulbs, or aftermarket halogen bulbs. Oem/aftermarket LED’s. They are bright as it is. With aftermarket wire harness. It will make them much brighter and much better visibility? What about an aftermarket halogen bulbs like sylvania - silverstar ultra, or Philips - diamond vision. Those are good but typical for better brightness but shorts the lifespan. With harness, can it increase the longevity of the of the silverstar ultra or diamond vision light bulbs, like from so-so 2 years or less. To maybe around 4.5 years of light power source?

@@KSuspension I agree on LED’s. Halogens however, makes a difference. So this makes sense then. It’s probably the reason why the high temperature headlight bulbs of the two brand I mention. They burned out from 2 years or less. All because of the oem wire that are too small and doesn’t support the bulbs that produce more brightness of the lumens. And the temperature of the kelvins. Is because the oem harness was not enough to support the brightness of the bulbs. But the basic can because it’s well basic. And with aftermarket harness, it supports the very brightness of the halogens? How long does the harness, that makes the halogen bulbs bright last?

You made a statement, I answered. But since you’re asking now, I’ll help you answer it yourself. Go outside and turn on your headlamps, check voltage at your lights, then add our harness, and check voltage at your lights. You’ll notice a significant jump in voltage which helps make the lights brighter. Your oem circuit doesn’t use relays and all load goes through the switch, hence why these switches burn up all the time. This helps take the load off and properly relay the circuit pulling voltage directly from the battery and sending it directly to the lights. It’s basic electricity and load distribution
