Hey I met this guy at the AAU in New York. Before we had the tournament going it was a dunk fest at Ruckers park and this man can leap also he gave me credit for my jumping abilities as well. That 2013 documentary hit me in the gut man, I could feel his pain, glad he is doing good work now. I still feel he should have been drafted if you look at all the people who did get drafted that year (most of which you’ve never heard of) I can’t help but think he would have been able to contribute more to an NBA team purely based on his raw talent. God had a different plan for Lenny though.

Lenny was 19 in highschool when Lebron was 16. Lenny was held back 2 years and if he'd had taken care of the main thing he could've declared for the 2001 draft Not Lebron James draft class. A young Lebron cooked Lenny's team Lebron scored 29 & the game winner to Lenny's 9 pts

@@teresamcgee-vd2uc The media hyped that up. Lebron did everybody like that in highschool. Lenny's wasn't ready for the NBA but he wasn't a bust he had plenty of potential. @@krewalk6916 I understand his situation but the Documentaries about Lenny is glossing over to many Facts. And how is Lenny being looked at as Over Lebron when he should've declared for the 2001 draft Not 2003. And furthermore their were NBA players trying to mentor Lenny ( he admitted it) + a lovely Family took him out the hood to help him..he literally took advantage of their kindness. . Lenny also admitted to showing up to practice or games lit up..( on video) so there should be no surprise why he didn't make it to the league

People talk trash about busts, but at least they made the league, and even if they spent all the money they still had a good run of it. This has got to be the worst case scenario. Even if he wasn't really good enough, he probably will think he was for the rest of his life, and that would be very tough to deal with.
Honestly that goes to show Lebron's greatness even more, the fact that 18 he had all that hype around him and could have so easily gone astray as the hundreds around him did, but instead was able to focus on the task at hand shows his maturity

His ego got the better of him and didn’t put in the work. Cautionary tale. Good luck to him though in life
BIG difference between he & LeBron. LeBron put in the work. I've watched videos & read that Lenny didn't. He had the wrong people in his corner already with their hands out, instead of encouraging him to continue working on his game. & his ego didn't help out any either. Hopefully he's found his calling.
They were talking about him earlier today at the breakfast club.

He’s doing what he was meant to do, stere young kids away from the streets and motivate them to follow their dreams and work on their education and talent. It’s 1 thing to be viewed as a hero in some kids eyes and it’s another thing to actually save a kid & that’s what he is doing, saving children.

Thanks and can you please do Omar Cooke? Who was a child prodigy and played at St Johns University in Queens New York but declared for the draft after his first year and......well, you know the rest.
Man what a dam shame. His talent looked effortless. Unfortunately his effort was talentless. I feel bad for him especially if he was given those so called guarantees as a young kid. He was in a world of confusion. Glad to see he is ok though. I still say Lenny is the man. But I also still say this about Maurice Clarette.
Proof talent needs luck. Luck is when preparation meets opportunity. Part of preparation is making the right choices, and surrounding yourself with the right people. Bad luck cause his down fall.
