When my father was killed, I lost all my “friends”. Not one was there for me, except the ppl I was in the marching band with and to this day they are the only ppl I genuinely care for even in our own lives.

When my aunt was shot and killed at age 16 and pregnant, my other aunt was there and witnessed it. She said that she cried out "Mommy" as she lay there bleeding out. We lived in a bad neighborhood back then, so it took police/first responders awhile to get there...

The no snitching to authorities is like a badge proudly worn until crime comes to our door. Then we wonder why no one speaks up? It is a means by thugs to control our community. My condolences to the family.

They take way to long for such a small city and I’m sure people have died because of it.
