Lol, I'm 31 and have my sister(39) as my emergency contact because I'm in the military, stationed in a different state and know if I pass away my sister WILL pick up the phone. As opposed to a cheating hoe that that tricked me into marrying her. My best friend is 32 and divorced but still have his sister AND mom and me as his emergency contact, because we'll answer that phone call and contact the whole family and his other friends. Same with my sister, she knows most of my friends.

@@victorias5272 I get your sentiment, honestly I do. But the children we have tie us together much more than a marriage. She pays bills here but not the mortgage so legally I would have to give her a month to move out, realistically I'd help her find an apartment. Had I not gotten this house, we would be paying rent so even if we split she hasn't paid rent in 6 years and is in the same financial spot she would be had she rented. We also trust that neither parent would want to hurt our children regardless of how we feel towards each other. Neither one of us would ever want sole custody or child support payments for 4 children, it would just be too ridiculous. Marriage simply is a paper that can hinder more than help. I'm not trusting everyone on every purchase but if you can't trust the person you choose to have children with, that's an issue that legal paperwork won't solve. I also trust her by paying off things that are legally only hers and trusting she'll return that by using her now better credit to better our family, because she can now get a mortgage of her own and while we pay it, she gets the benefits. When I say "She couldn't afford" I mean she couldn't get the mortgage due to debt, so I did. She could easily afford our payments, but marriage forceably lowers 1 partners credit. So why do that before buying the largest purchases you ever will? It's foolish

@blueshoes5145 Obviously there's a lack of trust, otherwise he woulda married already. But like I said, there's a chance he knows or believes she's just trying to be a gold digger, so he's taking care of his needs without his finances being ruined. If she doesn't like it, she's free to leave him, ain't no one making her stay. And maybe she's actually a good person, and given time, he'll trust her. My ex ruined me. My current gf now has to be patient with me to fully accept her into my life because of it. I love my current gf, but I also loved my ex wife before she ruined me. 5 years down the drain. I'm afraid to trust again

That's probably what's going i assume, nothing to delve in if both know what they getting out from continuing the relationship & not misuse. But will say fact is longer the wait it's problematic for girls than boys
