When Rob Halford came out as a gay man, all of us metal fans had our moment. Our moment to realize what was important and what wasn't. When we found out Rob was gay, we realized we loved Rob and weren't going to leave him as fans and in turn realized I guess we really didn't have a problem with gay guys being gay. And that bled over into all of our lives. A lot of young metal fans didn't have gay friends before Rob came out and then realized it was ok to have gay friends if you were straight. I know it sounds over simplified but it was a simpler time. But what I'm having to watch African American rap fans got through right now is rough to watch. My heart goes out to the OG rap fans that are going through this emotional blender of watching your heroes all get exposed through this ongoing story. This isn't about sexuality, this is about perversion and power and violence and people's inability to not sell themselves out for the sake of fame and money. Hang in there.

Actually saw Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch in concert twice. Once when they opened for New Kids on the Block. Though it wasn’t their last tour. They had another after that, before breaking up in 1994. They reunited in 2008 & have had SEVERAL successful tours since. This summer they’re re-creating their Magic Summer tour, which was the tour in 1990 that Marky Mark opened up for them.
