I have worked in dealerships in parts, sales and sold the extended warranties which I still do now. All very diff and under same roof! I Love Vin Wiki, I wish I could get the app to work so I would be registered to get my Porsche.

Unbeknownst to Juan, I have a story about him. So I live in LA, and back around 01-02, Juan was the GM of Bentley Beverly Hills and he was on the MTV, “ Whips, Ride and Dubs edition” of cribs plus one another episode for cribs. So o went to the LA Auto show and usually when it came to Ferrari, Lamborghini etc it wasn’t the manufacture putting on the display but the dealership. I go over to the Aston Martin display (ogara motors has Lambo, Rolls, Bentley and Aston) and they’ve gated off the cars like all the other high end brands. I’m 17 at the time and name drop Juan (I ask how Juan was doing figuring the staff would think my parents are clients because how else would I know Juan). Well, let’s just say It worked like a charm and the doors were opened to me. Did it the following year he had just left Ogara but was still treated well. You might ask why didn’t I got to Bentley as well and the answer is I did but Rolls and Bentley display was put on by Desert Motor cars (Palm springs dealership). However, in 04 I believe ogara had the Bentley display and we had recently received a letter from the dealership inquiring if my dad might Be interested in a car from them either new or used (no chance we could afford one but they didn’t know that) and I used that letter to gain access to the Bentley Arnage! So thank you Juan for being on MTV!

Picked up a few skills while working in England

The Rolls Royce/Bentley dealership in our area wouldn’t allow tow trucks to move their cars. They had relationships with police, towing companies, and their customers to make sure their dealer was allowed to move them in an unmarked enclosed trailer as to “Not besmirch the integrity of our fine cars with the ignominy of a tow truck”. If you didn’t decipher that, it’s “Our cars break down a lot and it’s embarrassing”. It sounds much nicer with an RP accent.

I treated that sports figure when I worked at a clinic in Michigan. He was friendly to the staff and signed autographs for all of us. I was quite surprised that he travelled with a body guard! The locals in his old home neighborhood love him and his generosity to the community.

Wish he would have expanded on the car that got ruined at the port, was intrigued to hear the series of events that followed.

A "mondaycar" is definitely a thing, its used as an expression in Belgium (in Dutch) for cars that have unsolvable/reoccurring issues and this guy perfectly explained the reasoning behind it, exactly like my grandparents explained it to me when I was a kid. Small world!

First and foremost, thank you for your service to our country. Your service obviously brought you to some incredible places but did you ever in your life expect to see Mr Bean😄 It's hard to imagine him driving that McLaren without also imagining him doing that fumbling mumble thing that he does. Meeting Mr Bean would definitely go down on my list as favorite memories. Also, the "don't buy something built on a Monday or Friday" theory, in my experience as well, is absolutely true. I used to work at a Fleetwood Motorhomes plant and you wouldn't believe the amount of "oh wells" and "tough shits" that occurred on either day. That plant has since shut down but if you could go back and compare units finished on days other than Friday/Monday with the ones finished on those two days, fit and finish would be the first thing you'd notice. A lot of the "oops" and the "I hope no one sees this" are hidden behind walls and such and may never be seen until something fails. When I sold cars, Kia was the first new car dealer I worked for back in 2003-ish. We had brand new Kias come in off of the truck that didn't even start. Makes you wonder what day those were built.🤔

Aston Martin Vanquish was released in 2001.. Tyson was still boxing but not the heavyweight champ at that time. and very close to the end of his career. Hadn't been the champ since 96... But misplacing the car sure does sound like Tyson, although there are a few other candidates from that era.
