The "new" AJ. Absolute drivel. He's fighting at best C level boxers and he stunk the gaff out against Franklin and then Robert Hilarious. Wallin hasn't beat anyone good ever and was an old sparring partner who has zero KO power. Stop believing the hype . The marketing behind him is a joke. He's the only heavyweight out there currently who isn't fighting against anyone decent. All the others are doing it .

Exactly. When AJ lost to Usyk in 2022, top heavyweights were Dubois, Joyce, Sanchez, Zhang, Anderson, Hrgovic, Makhmudov, Kabayal, Wilder, Fury etc. Joshua ducked all of them and fought 4 bums. Ngannou was the MMA guy, Wallin was his sparring partner that he'd defeated twice in the amateurs.

What a load of Drivel your talking when AJ was champion he always defended against his mandatories. Unlike Fury & wilder Fury has held the Heavyweight belt twice now and only defended it 3 times and one of them was chisora. Fury is only fighting usyk now because he's been backed into a corner & got no choice. He's tried to back out & got loads of stick for it. Same as wilder been exposed & so will Fury FACT

There is no doubt AJ looked great in his last fight but its been such a long time since he fought a top heavyweight, fury usyk, dubious hrgovic, wilder zhang, joyce parker, joyce zhang, parker wilder, everyone except AJ facing decent opposition. Hearn is still not confiernt in AJ, this says a lot, him and need to face better opposition more constantly

Wallin beat gassiev in Russia gave fury nightmares and was a tough fight until aj dismantled him. Ngannou put fury down and was bookies favourite to beat AJ. Dismantled. AJ will blast through everyone outside of fury and usyk, as long as the Ngannou fight wasn't a sign of fury decline

I still remember the new Anthony Joshua that appeared after the first Ruiz fight... a man scared of his own shadow that was scared to get hit so spent his time running for 12 rounds. He actually thought this made him a good boxer until he was schooled by Usyk. He's now realised he's not a good boxer so he's now gone back to knocking people like Ngannou out and that makes him a dangerous knock out artist. What happens when he fights someone decent or gets hit? History repeating itself if you ask me

Well he actually is a good fighter, he doesn't just hit them now but has some skill about him too,in his fight just b4 Furys ex opponent Wallin AJ was hit a bit by Franklin ,i was in the arena. AJ Wasnt bothered like b4 by that he got a cut bloody mouth a little, i rememberyet he just smiled & bolled up to big Franklin for some more.

@eddyd63 I agree he's a good boxer. But my point was he changed his style because he was scared. Now because he's knocked out some random guys he's rediscovered his courage and people think he's dangerous

@@MMAandOats I don't think he's going to suddenly beat Usyk, but confidence is definitely something that Joshua has been missing somewhat since the loss to Ruiz. I'd still like to see Joshua-Fury, styles do make fights and whilst I'd favour Fury I don't think it's clear cut. Fury will have to dance around Joshua and I'm not convinced his athleticism is where it was. The Usyk fight will say a lot.

@@MMAandOats Yes but those aren't really random guys though, Wallin & Ngannou...To be honest I also had those reservations & still do to a certain extent that its not conclusive yet..I view the Ngannou fight as a perfect sparring session for AJ when Eddie began calling for it ..Ngannou clearly far from boxing savy but had some very potentially dangerous string points..Its like a coach in gym saying " get in wothus fella" not coz hes perfect but bec he has dome things that would help u work on some of yours...Thing is AJ needed about 3 if such & he's had 4 now so his confidence is back ,he truly didn't have much wrong with him to begin with except could have improved in certain areas b4 the Ruiz incident...Now hes ironed out the webs he's definitely a problem
