In redoing my paternal grandparents bathroom, they found an old newspaper (used as insulation) from 1940 and my mom’s birth was listed in the paper.

Whilst my parents were away my brother pulled up the dining room floor boards. Under them he found a room carved into the chalk. It had a frying pan and blankets ect It also had a small door that lead into our back porch it was nailed shut and we hadn’t ever opened it assuming it was an old coal hole. If only we had we would have found the room years before. It was an underground air raid shelter from WW2. (🇬🇧) As for the monopoly board on the floor I think it’s for parties and people are the pieces. I wonder if they made giant cards to go with it.

My dad was doing some work on a client of his's house because my dad is a jack of all trades handyman and he found a weird room. 1 foot by 2 feet to the ceiling so about 8 feet tall room that had been hidden. There were 3 old glass jars and 2 really old original Pepsi cans that were drank and rusted but other than that it was empty and just weird that it was sealed up.

The guy who found the coins. I wonder what makes him think the coins belong to the previous house owners? Of they put them coins there. Or if their parents put them there. They would have taken them out before moving.

I don’t know why he told anyone About the hidden city he could’ve had the nicest house around without anybody even knowing it and then to tell the government boy big mistake. Obviously they took it from him. He could’ve had the most marvelous home in the world. I just don’t understand why he even let the secret out I would’ve never told anybody other than my family that live there even extended family wouldn’t know.

I wonder if the old Victorian house with the metal bedframe in the hidden basement (#5) was perhaps where they kept a disabled family member. Maybe mentally disabled or "insane". I figure if that's the case it was a good spot (in their minds) because the person wouldn't be heard by visitors or passersby.

I would buy that house if I could. The one with a garter snake infestation. I would befriend them and sell off the babies and adults. They make awesome pets. Had one as a kid that my brother, the idiot, killed accidentally by feeding it a live beetle Of course the beetle bit the snake and it died. My idiot brother didn't bother to go to the library and research the care of them. Me, I love all snakes and they know it. They interact with me and just want to rub on me like a cat. Poisonous and not and tame and wild. All the same. I give out calm and friendly vibes and they respond to it. I am currently living in Idaho.
