The vulnerability dongeun showed the doctor at the end of this episode was so beautiful🥺 truly the scene that got me to start shipping them, the way he was understanding and unafraid of her injuries was amazing and full of care and understanding and that’s just what she needs in her life 🥹

The doctor said "I'll be your executioner" meaning tell me what I should do and I'll do it without questioning your motives ❤ The literal translation is "who do you want me to ki/ll first"

Our main girl here actually does own the green shoes! She wore them when she first met yeon jins daughter!

I just noticed that the translation on their watchthrough is different. When I watched Yeo-jeong said "I will be your executioner." Regardless...I think that's the most romantic line in the show.

there was a tiktok talking abr how some of the subtitles weren’t detailing and accurate in context so maybe netflix did some changes to captioning

Yes that depends on the subtitle selection that you chose actually. If the subtitle option is only English the translation will be " I will be your headsman" and if the subtitle option is English (CC) its " I will be your executioner".

Well a headman IS an executioner. The meaning is the same. Such a powerful scene, her standing in the moonlight!

I think Yeojeong's creepy behavior would bother me more if it didn't make him such a good match for Dongeun lol. They really complement each other.

The doctor is one of my favorite actors and I've never seen him in a role like this and I never knew I needed to see him like this😆😆😆

The maid was a kickass grandma in Uncanny Counter which is also on Netflix she kicked ass! But I love her character Something really weird too I’m watching like you guys with English subs but he says « executioner » in my country not « headman » so it’s really clear what’s he’s ready to do for her. He told Dong Eun she was there during the coldest time of his life and you’ll get why even though he trues to tell her revenge might cost you a lot (which is what tvshow hosts have said to the real life curling iron victim they even told her to forget about it which pissed me off cause her tormentors are living the life, working in social fiel asking for gofundme for charities and stuff while back then adults told her it was her fault and she might have deserved it… she asked them for the best way to get revenge and they were like looking at her like « aaaaaw you poor thing forget about the past » while they asked her to see her scars. I’m so so pissed at them but she said their name on tv she’d be sued for defamation even if it’s the truth, the South Korean justice system is a joke. She couldn’t even gather the courage to watch the Glory!)

Ok, COMPLETELY unrelated, but came to mind and I don’t know how else to suggest this. Mid to late 90s, highly critically acclaimed TV series that only lasted one season - “My So-Called Life”, and “Freaks and Geeks”. I think you’d really enjoy these well-written programs with a lot of young actors who became pretty well-known. Another similar but lesser-known show is “Undeclared” by Judd Apatow. Completely separate is “Spaced”, a British series starring Simon Pegg. I think you’d genuinely enjoy these shows and we’d enjoy them with you.
