He Hadn't Cleaned Since His Wife Died 14 Years Ago
We Cleaned this kind old gentleman's kitchen for free. He is a widower or 14 years and never cleaned his kitchen. His kitchen sink, stove, oven and floor were the dirtiest we have ever encountered the transformations from dirty to clean were some of our favorite before and afters ever. His black floor was dirty from a combination of grease and dirt for over a decade. Some may argue that we should have just ripped out the floor and buy a new one. But unfortunately that wasn't in his budget. So we tested multiple cleaners till we found one that worked and we were so pleasantly surprised.

Or hire someone to come clean. It's not rocket science. There's not enough anyone could pay me or get me to clean this mess.
KZreadr Aurikatarina swears by oven cleaner and plastic wrap. Great job!
RIP mop. Thank you for your service 🫡
I could hear in his answer that he is not going to clean. As long as he has not got help for his depression and mourning and does not stop smoking, things will not change.
I can't imagine what his lungs look like.😞
It is so wonderful that you did this huge clean up. My problem is,why did it take so long for him to receive help. It took 14 years to have family give him loving care. I hope this is a reminder to everyone. Look after your elderly family, friends and neighbors. ❤

@@jenanderson5255 Same thing here. My elderly mom hates to clean but also won't let anyone else do it. So when I stay there I sneakily do it when she's out. 🤫
It's nice when things can be cleaned/ salvaged instead of just replaced.
I’ve seen this before. BLESS him. Grief and your wife doing all the cleaning causes this.

@@CleanFreakGermaphobe I've also watched the other videos. Seeing the floor transformation was completely, one hundred percent insane. You guys did such a great job. I think I actually watched the floor video more than once. I'm sorry for your loss. A relative of mine on my mom's side lost her husband, and she died shortly after he did, and on my father's side, a relative who lost her sons - who were fully grown - died shortly after they did, so I can understand - distantly - how difficult that is - difficult and devastating, etc., etc.. Loss and grief are difficult.
Another lesson is DON’T SMOKE !
Surprised it took so long for the family members to help.
The wall behind the stove in the house I rent is faux brick, that they painted white. It had years of accumulation of grease and food and I could never get it clean. I must have tried 10 different degreasers and cleaners. I was scrubbing the wall over the sink (next to the stove) I had a scrub brush and some ajax (like comet powder) I ran it along the edge of the fake brick while cleaning the wall and it left a white streak. I grabbed a bucket of clean water the ajax and my scrub brush and scrubbed until that brick was white. Amazing stuff.
I'm in my 50's, but my mom and a couple of other army wives used to clean quarters - homes - of other service members who moved to different states. They used trash bags and ammonia in them to clean stoves/ovens and the parts. Left them in the bags over night tho. I was a pre teen and I had to go with them 🙎🏿. They also used lye on somethings.

I found this 25 years ago. I put the vent filter in the sink with Totally Awesome and it came out looking new. It's not as strong as it was back then, but it still works
Great video. Thanks for helping the widower. I'd like to suggest the next time ya need to scrub a floor, use a paint scaper on the dry gunk then sweep up the contents and place in trash. This has helped me quite a few times over the years (and i don't have to constantly buy more cleaning products). Stay safe and be well.

You are right. I've done that. I cleaned my grandma's sink that way.
my heart breaks for his grief 😞
I’d hate to see his bathroom! The whole house must be a disaster.
That floor definitely needs a heavy duty scrub brush / deck mop
Your video would be much better without the (loud) music, I don’t like to watch it with sound on.
A master class in cleaning. WELL DONE!! Your effort here is not wasted in teaching us what can be done and the tools to do it with. wow~
I been using Ammonia to clean my stove grates. It's part of Speing Cleaning I place them in a trash bag sit in a tote, pour ammonia some water and dawn, let it sit outside over night. ❤
This was a dramatic improvement, and obviously a labor of love! Another excellent job!!! I hate to even mention this, but the top surface on many/most stoves lifts up, and whatever the top looks like is typically repeated to a major extent under that top. I know there isn't time for showing all the work that was done in a brief video, but hopefully, you were able to clean up the hidy hole under the top.

The top of most electric stoves does indeed lift up, but with a gas stove, it’s an entirely different story, and can cause huge damage to the gas lines, if not done in the proper order, when disassembling the top! Learned from experience

I have a gas stove/over. The top does life up. Mine is older and has a vent on the top to let the heat out of the oven. My 29 yr old didn't know and left a plastic bag on top and it started to melt while roasting some veggies.
In germany we say "Die Wohnung ist der Spiegel der Seele" -the flat is the mirror of the soul
I once used easy off to clean some oven burner tins and it stripped the stainless right off my sink! I'm amazed the linoleum didn't just dissolve 😅
It's sad how most mens life will just fall apart on every side after the death of their wife. But, women tend to thrive after the death of their husband. I thinks that's because women (of the boomer gen) do all the household chores and the men don't. So, mens homes and hygiene just fall apart after she dies. But women carry on with those chores, if not have less of them, now that's he's passed.
Love your cleaning tip for kitchen figurines!
Why don't I get notifications when you post? That will be corrected! Your channel is a MUST! I have already learned so much from this one video. Tyfs!

With the cost of plastic wrap, I would have purchased trash bags.
You can put the top stove grates inside the self cleaning oven and run it through its cycle. Works like magic.
Why wash all that grease down the sink , that’s daft, especially after cleaning it.
That is a remarkable transformation. Just remarkable. Thank you.
Idk if you have one but i think adding a floor squeegee would probably be a great thing to add to your tools. It would have helped with that floor, and maybe a dust pan to pick up the yuk so you dont need to use so much to wipe it up.
I wish I knew these tricks when I moved into my first rental house. The appliances were so caked with muck that I got a move-in discount. It took hours of scrubbing on each to get them clean.
Gag worthy.
Poor woman. What makes anybody to live like this?
I always use the same process for cleaning but I never use rags or paper towels to wipe the sludge off, I used a plastic putty knife, regular putty knife or razor blade (depending on the surface) It saved me so much time and money. It was also faster and easier.
@tinytt854

why not? it couldn't be any worse than the chemicals in food, "vaccines" or chemtrails. at least the water is treated, albeit with fluoride , but i digress.
Please don’t squeeze that grease down the kitchen sink!! You’ll clog it!!
I have never seen such an floor.
13:58 that floor looks like a multi-step cleaning project, no matter what. I don’t think that would have been a one & done kinda thing.
I've seen others using oven cleaner on thick greasy surfaces - is that also ammonia?
Wow really nasty cleaning job Bless you for cleaning this house

@@CleanFreakGermaphobe We also have a few fun salt and pepper shakers. One is a set of balloon animal dog - shaped salt and pepper shakers. But we also have a pair of birds - sparrows or finches or something like that - with a nest, and a pair of rabbits, and a pair of more ordinary round salt and pepper shakers that match my mom's ordinary, everyday Corelle dishes set, which she's had since the late 80s I think. But we're going to be getting rid of the bird-shaped salt and pepper shakers and the rabbit-shaped ones - if we haven't already.
