Holy crap, I was probably there at the same time you were. That same Harley with the trash can strapped to it was there when I showed up, and the guy riding it was inside trying to use a 50-dollar gift card he was given to Ducati. I remember him leaving while I was still there looking at a Multistrada and the salesperson telling me about why he was there. Small world! Ended up getting the Multistrada a week or so later and can't say enough how awesome Kyle is!

My 2023 s1000rr hasn't consumed any oil so far either. 650 miles on the break-in and now have 1600 on it and still at fill level.

U are never biased against any brands whether you own their brands of motorcycles or not but deep inside everyone knows that Ducati is the no 1 in the LOOKS department...

@@A.J.1656 I came my FZ 750 doing 90 mph wearing t shirt and sweat pants, the tarmac ate through my clothing then skin,to bone instantly. I wasn't smart enough at 19,but I learned the hard way. I don't wish the pain on anyone I felt that day. I never rode by bikes without correct riding gear again !!!!. Tool.

@@firebladelover7 Do you wear a helmet and a Hans device in your automobile? Do you have a full fire suppression system and a flame retardant suit. Have you installed a full roll cage? If not, you aren't taking every available precaution. This gear would save thousands of lives if people used it, but we make choices. Only a moron would ride in sweat pants, especially if they are a crasher. That's your issue. Being a safety jihadist on the internet because of your own failure to make the right choice is silly. On newer motors with synthetic oil there are instances where the piston rings take longer to break in along with cylinders that have a very smooth finish. In some extreme cases, it may take up to 8-9k and sometimes more. Like any vehicle there is a reason yes, check your engine oil we all get a bit lazy on the along with expectations that are through the stratosphere and start pointing fingers due to our complacency. It's a machine designed and assembled for the most part by humans and will leave it at that' Also with Bmw and other german manufacturers some of the assembly might be done in eastern block to beat the wages ( china ) of the Eu cheap labor = mistakes another part of the consumption can be a mistake made at the factory where the end gaps of the pistons are off allowing oil to pass through and that can only be verified by pulling pistons out for inspection.

Look how many riders are doing smack downs racing. Can you imagine if it became a sport like drag racing and moto GP???

V4R looks completely different from the V4S? Only the paint. Ducati always improve the design/aerodynamics in the R model but this time they just went into lazy mode 😂 But of course it looks great 👍🏻

V4r is miles better than both of those bmw.

How an engine is run in will determine if it burns oil. Highway riding at constant speed is NOT good for running in.

Why are you celebrating that one of the most expensive motorbikes is not consuming oil. That is the bare minimum a motorbike should provide if it’s not built to a terrible standard.
