Marty! Met you at the MotoGP Ducati merch tent in MotoGP Austin man. Thank you for the nice detailed overview on this amazing machine. Just got to ride one and dude - you couldn't have been more correct - it is the most amazing motorcycle you can buy currently. Happy owner of a 21' Panigale V4 and 23 Multistrada Pikes Peak. This brand is a passion and every day I learn more about them, it reinforces my enthusiasm (addiction? 🧐😝) 👍

Great video thanks. I got my SP2 earlier this year and took delivery of this new V4R couple of weeks ago. Love them both but will share one quick point with you all. The ride back home on the V4R was not the greatest. It was in the afternoon and was very hot. I got burn rash and blisters due to the new fairing air vents that direct hot air to the bottom portion of your legs! Only remedy for this I guess is to wear some Sidi track boots while riding these monsters on a hot day or don't ride in extreme heat...!

@@jackmac66 Both bikes are still in the break in period so quite honestly I wouldn't say one is faster than the other but can say they are both very fast! Based on my experience thus far the SP2 due to the bigger engine does sound better once you down shift to gear 1. I am sure this will be the case after I upgrade the exhaust on both bikes. Glad to have both in all fairness if I could only have one it would really come down to personal preference. You really can't go wrong either way...!

In all fairness, both run hot and I don't like riding them on extremely hot times of the day. Love them both and I don't really want to part ways with either...

Unfortunately the DDA is a bit rubbish. No brake data and you cannot export data to use in video overlays. It’s about time that this is updated.

I think with the Akra exhaust - the dealer offers it with a locked in tune for your individual bike for this purpose - to preserve warranty.

Got akro installed on my v4r with remapping was told my dealer warranty is ok. Akro for v4r comes with remapping and recognized by dds With exhaust serial no. And this map cannot be used on other vin then.

If we shouldn’t ride in revs below 6k as you indicated why then does owner Manuel state during break in period not to exceed 5500-6000k revs?

Because in that period, you want to abrade the cylinder bores to polish them and a bunch of other surfaces to polish them smooth. So you deliberately drive in a way to do that faster and your first oil change is at 600 miles. In that oil change you will have glittery oil coming out with tiny particles of metal from that process. So you also change the oil filter at the same time.

V4r doesn’t have any brake in period. I used mine on the track after 200 miles and oil dropped.

That sound it makes is unbelievable. My 1199 with full termi sounds like a baby compared

at that price - would expect full carbon bodywork!

Like all the current high horsepower superbikes available now, 95% of the owners aren't capable of riding them anywhere near their full potential. Myself included LOL More fun to go fast on a slow bike than slow on a fast bike.

Buddy, you comment this on all our videos. Just go ride your Diavel and enjoy it! As we have said before, we do not have demo bikes available. It is hard enough to receive inventory to sell let alone inventory to demo.

I wouldn’t call it the best bike, but the most gorgeous cool looking bike sexy and powerful Quick feedback on the Shell Oil 15w50: -> it’s making the internal engine parts run so smoothly which means 2seconds press the ignition button , the engine starts right up no delay or double action of repressing -> the oil lasts 2kkm which means the oil changes color from transparent yellow to darker yellow, but the bike still perfectly performs I change the oil whenever I notice the color changes which means around 2kkm-3kkm depending on the distance of ride (schedule maintenance is standard but I would change the oil as soon as I see it need changing)

I own many Ducati’s and I have never heard or met someone as educated and full of knowledge about Ducati as yourself. Thank you for this video. I just took delivery of this motorcycle and you have answered all my question about this motorcycle way more that the staff at the location I took delivery from. Any chance I can start buying from you? 👍

"Mil" and mm are not the same. Mil = 0.001 inches, mm = 0.039 inches. Not sure why Americans say mil for mm interchangeably, especially since mm is metric and mil is imperial...

We say this in the UK too. Technically you're talking about Mils with an s at the end. You're right, but for convenience and tradition, we call 0.001 inches a "thou" short for thousandth.

It's not 45k, its 50k with taxes...fees and adding the race exhaust by the time you're done adding proper pegs, etc its 60k. So don't say its 40k...

why does it look just like the S model? since they both have the same wing.. i wouldve loved to see the SL wings on the R, at least some kind of visual differentiation besides the cheesy graphics..
