Hes so cuuuuute he looks so big and bad but is actually nearly harmless
The random plant is clover. Clover is actually a really cool addition to a bioactive. They’re not large plants, but they do flower and spread relatively easily. Very common plant! I think they’ll make a great addition to the enclosure.

That’s actually wood sorrel (Oxalis)! It looks similar to clover but it’s fairly distantly related. The way you can tell them apart is by the heart-shaped leaves, while clover leaves are more round. Also fun fact, they taste kind of lemony (but don’t eat too much it can give you kidney stones)
Me and my uncle caught a Giant forest scorpion(I believe) in my grandma's backyard in a remote village in southern India. It was an adult and just beautiful, Probably a little over 7 Inches, it was a beast. Its stinger was bigger than my fingernail. Super intimidating but that black almost irredescent color was very enticing. I wouldn't have caught it but it was a risk being around the village. Not to be a hero, but the villagers killed those on sight, like they do with Cobras or Vipers or big cats when they get close to a village. People are changing now, but change takes time. I wanted to keep it but with little to no knowledge, we decided to set it back towards the forest. The whole experience was humbling and the day I spent with it was super fun. This was about five years ago. Just wanted to share this : )
Hi DarkDen. This scorpion is actually a male Heterometrus Silenus. It’s a common Asian forest scorpion from Vietnam. 👍
I recently got a baby H. spinifer, I’m looking forward to when it gets this big!
watching your videos is dangerous to my bank account, I had to sell all my Ts over a year ago and recently got a better job meaning I can afford them again, I miss this hobby so much
Such a coincidence. I just got my first Asian forest scorpion on Saturday, this really helped, thanks

Scorpions are my favorite! My AF died recently, actually, so I'm glad to see yours doing so well! Is that a Zilla terrarium? Thank you!

One of my fave times of the week getting to watch fresh dark den video
please dont make it so you need to tag friends to win the giveaway, for ppl who dont have friends who share this interest, it will be annoying for the people tagged, they may not want anything to do with spiders/ reptiles :) so it will just be wierd.

This might be H. Spinifer, or if you're lucky, H. Cimrmani - which was identified 20 years ago. Till like 2004, H. Cimrmani was considered to be the same as H. Spinifer, and it's quite rare in captivity - not many people keep H. Cimrmani. I'd like to get myself a H. Cimrmani because I'm a Czech and the guy who described it as different species was a Czech too and named it after our great inventor Jára Cimrman (which honestly makes me doubt if H. Cimrmani is even real).

I think I found a contender for largest vivarium being built by one person on youtube. AntsCanada claims that he is going to start building a >1200 gallon vivarium
Awesome Video Dark Den 😊
Asian forest scorpions are my favorite. 🖤
Hello great video information and rehousing Petcko
Great video 🫡
Great vid luv to see the scorpions ..
Great video
Old enclosure was too dry that's scorpion was hiding so deep under the plant. It needs like 80% humidity at least.
Definitely Heterometrus silenus! The males of this species have a well visible tooth on the movable finger of their claws, which is the case with your scorpion.
Nice scorpion !
ooh yay a new vid !!!
Hi Petco its been a while since I watched ur video. How are you doing? It’s crazy how long i’ve been watching you. I hope you are doing good and always keep uploading videos thank you.
that plant is weed here in Belgium... Grows everywhere! I can send you a ton of it haha!
Asian Forest scorpions vibrate the stinger to warn ... Brazil Bark scorpions wave their tail and stinger from side to side as a warning
That's a big boy ❤️
cool me crazy I don't have any scorpion and even hav arachnophobia but I find that scorpion quite and yor videos and from TK helps agantst my phobia now I'm not so afraid from spiders so much
Yes, what a cute animal.
Scorpions are very interesting.
Random plant is called Clover my friend and its nice they don't grow super tall but they will grow in big patches
Looks very similar to my Heterometrus laoticus
I think that is a Heterometrus silenus. Looks like the same as mine with the red stinger. But i dont know for sure. Love the video gives me insperation on what to do with the New enclosure for one of mine that is in desperate need of an upgrade.
that almost looks like a emperor scorpion with the amber stinger

Emperor scorpion doesn't have a smooth pincer
Use to have clover all over my yard growing up. Glued an extra leaf on them all the time lmao
Nice ERB reference 😂
I like your video.
i love heterometrus, they always put on a show.confident litle bugs.
I had a dictator scorpion and it didn't need to be able to climb, it propped itself up with its tail and pushed the lid off of the 20 gallon tank.
That's a Heterometrus Loaticus. And also.... don't with the same brood.
would it be a good idea to breed brother and sister?
What a cute lil guy
what about naming the Scorpions
Will you send to the uk ???
👍👍✨✨
Is this how you raise a caterpillar that you are doing? For me, I let it live naturally. And in my free time I always walk. Find them in natural habitats.
do you have any plans to ship to the USA at any point? no big deal if not but I'd definitely be interested in purchasing some.
that random plant you pulled out is called clover.
Hetrometrus spinifer 😊

Update on the camel spider?
I was curious what kind of cameras do you use?
Some Forest Asian scorpions love to be peted slowly just to let you know that because my old black Asian scorpion loved to be peted .
Do I understand correctly that you are going to mate this scorpio with his sister? Is this normal for arachnids?
❤
Do you see this one more or less since the move? I upgraded mine and I NEVER see her :/
Hello
hello
I have a question, I also have the same specie of scorpion, it's not come out of its enclosure for a week now it's stayed in its den, its not even eating atall its been roughly 3 weeks now and doesn't want to it, I'm in the UK it is cold over here so will it be hibernating?
@angela_tarantulas

If it’s too cold, you might try a heat mat! They love warm enclosures with high humidity.
@johnpowell560
5 ай бұрын
@@angela_tarantulas I've always got the heat matt on but stuck to the side of the tank and not underneath it.
my asian forest scorpion pinches me while I hold it frequently. It really isnt that bad.
Yo do you go saturday to Hamm?
Do you still have your leopard gecko?
Pronounce micro like mycrow 👍
Which Scorpions in your opinion are more hardy as far as keeping as a pet the Asian Forest or Emperor Scorpions ?

I'd take the Asian Forest scorps over Emps. They are bigger and have longer lifespans. I've kept both and while both like staying in burrows/under barks, the AFS is more visible than the emps.

@@ArchiveRagtagMoe Thank you for your reply !! Definitely thinking about picking up a Asian Forest Scorpion 🦂 soon !!
good evening bro if you can, include Greek subtitles😅
Hi are you thinking about getting another chameleon another Felix would be good Felix Felix Felix
Her tail stinger vibes is a mating ritual she will join pincers and dance she will pick up a sperm packet that’s placed on a flat surface it’s quite a beautiful dance . And yeah its sting doesn’t even really hurt … but if you’re allergic it’s much more dangerous of course .
Hi how is your day going?
i'm not an expert but i'm pretty sure this is the same scorpeon as i have. so i'm 99% sure this is a Heterometrus silenus.
I thought the smaller the scorpion the more venomous it is.
@ArchiveRagtagMoe
5 ай бұрын
No. We have very small bark scorpions under 1" whose stings are nothing worse than ant stings and some bigger ones that are lethal, so size doesn't always determine the strength of the venom. But it's a general rule that if a scorpion has a fat tail and small pincers, take caution.
Wouldn't Chips fit in the junglearium? He would get a really big and great enclosure since he doesn't like being handled. And it would open up space in the shelf 😂
I think breeding these scorpions is a bad idea, didn't tou say that they are from the same mother?
Sexy time with siblings 😬 get some new blood Petco
Nooooo, Petko, don't breed the scorpion with his sister! Find a female that's not related!
a friendly reminder that people are lefties too and the "other side" opening might be actually better for them
he want's to bread sisters
I really personally hate these posts where you have to tag your friends. I dont have any so I cant participate...
Anybody else notice ants Canada didn't give petco a shoutout after copying the junglearium. Not cool
You should definitely get an unrelated female, pairing him with his litter mate is basically the same as marrying your sister

Generally it's perfectly fine to breed arthropod siblings! If you follow any reptile keepers, you'll see that even snakes and other reptiles can be bred to siblings without problems. The genetics aren't affected the same way they can be with humans, something to do with the number of offspring and potential combinations of alleles and some other science-y stuff😅

You ever seen a scorpion with 2 telsons? Innnnnnbbbrreeeeddddddd
@58Kym

@@VenoManuspnwUnlikely. More commonly a division mistake by the cells. No different to a set of conjoined twins. Humans are born all the time with division errors and so are animals and they are overwhelmingly from unrelated parents. All your known breed dogs, cats and cattle etc have all been linebred at one time, mother/son, father/daughter, siblings and other inbreeding efforts to ‘fix’ breed specifications into an animal. It isn’t dangerous unless you do it over and over again for many generations or if there are known genetic issues already in those animals.
@ZimzeLimze

What’s wrong with that
You should be cautious with how you are taunting your animals. If you are not careful it could be very dangerous. Doing it too much might make the internet karens show up and leave some not so pretty comments 😂😂
The only room I could keep a tarantula is cold, would a heat mat or lamp work ???
What is 160 euros in actual money like American money lol hopefully it's only 20 bucks cuz 160 euro sounds high af so hopefully that equals 20 bucks or less maybe 10 lol 😆 would be better lol js😊

Petko said it only has to be 60 euros, not 160, so you're even better off. 😁 60 euros = ~US$64.60.
