The random plant is clover. Clover is actually a really cool addition to a bioactive. They’re not large plants, but they do flower and spread relatively easily. Very common plant! I think they’ll make a great addition to the enclosure.

That’s actually wood sorrel (Oxalis)! It looks similar to clover but it’s fairly distantly related. The way you can tell them apart is by the heart-shaped leaves, while clover leaves are more round. Also fun fact, they taste kind of lemony (but don’t eat too much it can give you kidney stones)

Me and my uncle caught a Giant forest scorpion(I believe) in my grandma's backyard in a remote village in southern India. It was an adult and just beautiful, Probably a little over 7 Inches, it was a beast. Its stinger was bigger than my fingernail. Super intimidating but that black almost irredescent color was very enticing. I wouldn't have caught it but it was a risk being around the village. Not to be a hero, but the villagers killed those on sight, like they do with Cobras or Vipers or big cats when they get close to a village. People are changing now, but change takes time. I wanted to keep it but with little to no knowledge, we decided to set it back towards the forest. The whole experience was humbling and the day I spent with it was super fun. This was about five years ago. Just wanted to share this : )

This might be H. Spinifer, or if you're lucky, H. Cimrmani - which was identified 20 years ago. Till like 2004, H. Cimrmani was considered to be the same as H. Spinifer, and it's quite rare in captivity - not many people keep H. Cimrmani. I'd like to get myself a H. Cimrmani because I'm a Czech and the guy who described it as different species was a Czech too and named it after our great inventor Jára Cimrman (which honestly makes me doubt if H. Cimrmani is even real).

No. We have very small bark scorpions under 1" whose stings are nothing worse than ant stings and some bigger ones that are lethal, so size doesn't always determine the strength of the venom. But it's a general rule that if a scorpion has a fat tail and small pincers, take caution.

Generally it's perfectly fine to breed arthropod siblings! If you follow any reptile keepers, you'll see that even snakes and other reptiles can be bred to siblings without problems. The genetics aren't affected the same way they can be with humans, something to do with the number of offspring and potential combinations of alleles and some other science-y stuff😅

@@VenoManuspnwUnlikely. More commonly a division mistake by the cells. No different to a set of conjoined twins. Humans are born all the time with division errors and so are animals and they are overwhelmingly from unrelated parents. All your known breed dogs, cats and cattle etc have all been linebred at one time, mother/son, father/daughter, siblings and other inbreeding efforts to ‘fix’ breed specifications into an animal. It isn’t dangerous unless you do it over and over again for many generations or if there are known genetic issues already in those animals.
