They see this thousands of times in their career Janice... it's extremely common for a small child to get a dislocated elbow from mom pulling on their arm. You mothers are an abusive lot and we're all tired of your bullshit.

Dislocated my right knee 8 times and my left 6 times, relocated it by myself every time except of one time where I got a panic attack. I dislocated my shoulder once, once! and that was way more painful

So brave he deserves a special treat

The patient is cute , the mom is nice and the doctor is awesome If this is the reward after studying hard for all those years , I would say it’s totally worth it Dr Paul you are a gem ,lots of love from India 🇮🇳

@@randomvintagefilm273 When I had to take my son in for this exact thing, they showed me how to fix it if it happens again, and told me no swinging by the arms because their little bones and joints are so pliable that this would happen again. The joint of dislocation is weakened after an injury such as this.

My doctor showed me that 30 years ago, I had 3 little boys then it came in really handy.

same, happened several times to my now 38 year old daughter when she was a baby and I was able to fix this on my own after seeing how it's done by ER doctor.

He's adorable and such a calm little boy.

He is a handsome little guy! Used to happen to my son at that same age. After it happening a few times I would put it back in place myself!

Yeah, so my son had this happen at almost exactly this age. Something to do with soft, developing bones.

This happened to my son and I freaked tf out. I took my child with tears in my eyes to the ED where they giggled, told me that it happens all the time, and proceeded to fix my child's nurse's elbow. I literally thought that it was my fault. Thankfully the ED doctors and nurses calmed me down, and we walked out of the ED within 30 minutes feeling right as rain.

Precious child and awesome doctor! Great mom, of course, too!

Hes adorable and already a bit skeptical. Lol Good thing he didn't go a day or two, it probably would've taken alot longer to convince him he was ok.

I tried this on my arms and my left elbow actually gave a pop. I had been carrying heavy bags from grocery shopping the other day and felt like I had less movement available to me after but it was still functional so I figured it would eventually get better. I feel like the strength has returned to my arm. Thanks for the tip 😊

When I worked in the ER as a nurse, we saw this at least once a month. Usually, just getting the X-ray would fix it. That little guy was so calm! Most of the time, the kids were inconsolable and hysterically crying, but once it popped back, they were ok.

I just wanted to say thank you. The ER nurses really calmed me down when I took my son in for his "nurse's elbow". I know there's a family out there that you saw who didn't get the chance to say thank you because they came in at shift change. So, thank you.

That is the cutest little boy I’ve ever seen! Just too sweet!

This is so cute! My son was almost exactly this age and had the exact same issue and it got fixed at a doctor's clinic just like that. This scene is like a blast from the past for me. At the end of it all, my son asked,"doesn't this doctor have any candy?", because his regular pediatrician would always give him candy. The poor orthopaedic doc was red in the face and pulled out one of those squeezy smiley balls for him just to save his own reputation.

He's so cute, this happened to my son was he was probably around the same age. I was taking him on the bus going up the few steps, I had him by the hand. He slipped and sort of fell down. Not long after I noticed he wasn't using it. Quick trip to A&E they fixed it just as quickly as you . He didn't cry either ❤

Thank you sooooo much! I am ecstatic that this just worked! My son was at park today around 3pm and got this and I took him to childrens urgent care near me and they did xray and said it sounds like nurse maids elbow and she attempted some kind of twisting of the wrist but I never saw her hold his elbow and bend it... she sent us home with nothing solved... his arm was limp all night and I found this 12 hours later from when we were at urgent care and i felt and heard his elbow pop back in!!!! So happy, he is back to normal! Thank you so much!

oml. how is he not crying! dislocation is awful 😭 since october 2019 i had fairly frequent knee dislocations which hurt like hell, i had to lie in my school sports hall for 3 hours and sit on the pavement for 2 hours to wait for an ambulance to pick me up. it’s coming up on a year now fro. when i got my surgery to fix and it hasn’t happened since :) i’m so impressed with this little guy ☺️

Oh my word, how adorable is that little fella?! 😍 And he was so good, too. And what a nice Doc😊 When I was 4, I wanted to help do some painting, so my dad rolled my sleeves up and that was it.....dislocated elbow!! It was pretty painful, but I remember the A&E Dr being soooo chill and kind, and just popped it back into place! I got to milk it for a while 😂

After a trip to the ER this morning with no results but a prescription of ibuprofen I remembered a doctor doing this years ago when one of my older daughter had the same injury. We asked the Dr. At the ER and he wouldn’t do it or didn’t know how. I got home and found your video and I was able to get her as well as mommy and daddy 100% relief. I owe ya one!!!

This happened to my daughter when she was 1 1/2 - 2! It was so scary but urgent care fixed it in seconds and she was fine after like magic!

This literally saved our holiday. Right after twisting his palm upwards, his elbow popped right away and he was back to his usual self, after being cranky and crying for being in pain most of the day. A surprisingly common dislocation, which probably goes unnoticed since it often self locates (reduces) back into the annular ligament. All the ones I've done on children have reduced on supination.

I used to have that when I was younger. It was so painful when it was dislocated and the manoeuvre. The relief was instant after it poped again in place!!

I have a few kids who have been prone to nursemaids elbow. I wish I had learned this technique with my first child, would have saved us a few ER visits! Once you get this down, though, it is so easy and quick. We learned very quickly as young parents not to pick up our toddlers by the arms and swing them. 😅. But oftentimes others are unaware of the dangers of that. We had a well-meaning teenager playing with one of our children recently, who swung him around by the arms. Child ended up with nursemaids elbow. But thankfully we were able to fix it quickly. ❤

Ouch, I have EDS and I dislocated my shoulder on the right side and it hurts like crazy! That’s how one of my coworkers helped me pop my shoulder back into place.
